God tells Noah he plans to flood the earth to destroy all life due to humanity's wickedness. Noah is instructed to build an ark to house his family and two of every kind of animal. After the flood waters cover the earth for 40 days, Noah remains on the ark with the animals for over a year until the waters recede. God promises to never destroy all life with a flood again and blesses Noah and his family.

2. God Created Life on Earth
• God created humans and animals that roamed
the earth. He wanted the world to be peaceful,
but humankind was not behaving how they
should be.
• God was afraid that their hearts would
continue to be evil (Gen. 6:5).

3. Noah
Noah was a follower of God
who had 3 sons: Shem, Ham,
and Japeth
• God comes to Noah to tell
him of his plan to clear the
earth of life because of the
bad behavior he has seen
among humankind. God
wanted to destroy the earth
(Gen. 6:13)

4. God’s Plan
God’s way of clearing the
earth from all the bad was
by causing a flood. He
wanted to make sure
nothing was left behind.

5. God’s Instructions
• God tells Noah to make an ark of cypress wood and to
make rooms in the ark. (Gen 6:14). He gives Noah
instructions on how to build the ark.
• God promised to keep Noah, his wife, his sons, and their
wives safe from the flood by staying on the ark.

6. Special Order
• God asked Noah to bring 2 of every kind of
living animal with him onto the ark (1 male, 1
female).
• He also told Noah to stock up on every kind
of food eaten (Gen. 6:17-22)

7. The Huge Storm
• God made rain fall on earth for 40
days and 40 nights! That’s a long
time! Noah was 600 years old
when the floods came (Gen 7:6).
• This made Noah’s ark rise high
above the earth because there
was so much water. The water
stayed for 150 days (Gen. 7:24).

8. All is Over
• God started to make the water
disappear from the earth for Noah and
those with him on the ark.
• After the 150 days passed, in the 7th
month on the 17th day, the ark ended
up in the mountains of Ararat (Gen 8:3-
4).

9. After 40
days • Noah decided to open the window of the
ark to set a raven and a dove free. The
raven flew around until the water
disappeared, but the dove came back
because it had no place to land yet due to
water.
• After 7 more days, he set the dove free
again and once again it returned to Noah’s
ark.
• After another 7 days, when Noah set the
dove free again, it did not return this time.
(Gen 8:6-12).

10. On Noah’s 601st Year
• The water from the flood had finally
dried up. God told Noah that he,
his family, and the animals could
step out of the ark.
• The animals stepped out of the ark
by families (Gen 8:19).
• After this, God promised to never
curse the ground again.

11. God’s Blessing to Noah and His Sons
• God told them to “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth” (Gen. 9:1).
• God planned to look over Noah, his wife, his sons, and their wives. He would do the same for their future family to come.
God would also be with the animals that came with them on the ark (Gen. 9:9).
