O propósito de Deus não é nos tirar do mundo, mas nos livrar das ações do maligno (Jo 17.15), Sendo assim, a vida eterna não significa estar fora da realidade deste mundo, mas conhecer o único Deus verdadeiro (Jo 17.3).

This lecture created by Brandon Taylorian (aka Cometan) specially for the CESNUR Conference held Bordeaux in June 2024 provides a brief introduction to the legacy of religious and philosophical thought that Astronism emerges from, namely the discourse on transcension started assuredly by the Cosmists in Russia in the mid-to-late nineteenth century and then carried on and developed by Mordecai Nessyahu in Cosmodeism in the twentieth century. Cometan also then provides some detail on his story in founding Astronism in the early twenty-first century from 2013 along with details on the central Astronist doctrine of transcension. Finally, the lecture concludes with some contributions made by space religions and space philosophy and their influences on various cultural facets in art, literature and film.

- 1. No Regrets by Robert Woeger Your life should be lived entirely focused on what Christ has done, without any regrets. Do not be like Lot’s wife, who looked back desiring her former life. Jesus Christ has redeemed you from your old ways and sin. Do not take Christ’s Sacrifice lightly. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17. “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13-14. The enemy tries to play old films, deceiving you to relive your past sinful life. Stop looking back. Look forward with Christ’s Hope, without receiving any guilt or condemnation. You have a divine destiny to fulfill. “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” Romans 8:1. Be the unique person who God created you to be, always giving thanks to God, drawing everything you need through Jesus Christ with The Holy Spirit’s Help. Christ has made you free, so live each moment you have in life with purpose, always seeking to Glorify God. Live in obedience by faith. “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” 2 Corinthians 10:5. Stop trying to please others, and instead please God, by walking in The Spirit, in faith, and not agreeing with the world or with sin. Be diligent in your pursuit of God, by spending time with Him and with Jesus Christ. Hunger after God, displaying devotion, which requires commitment of your time, money, energy, and focus. Time is precious. It shows what you really care about, whether the things of God, or the things of the world. “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” 1 John 2:15-17. Choose what you treasure carefully. “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” Matthew 6:19-21,24. When you serve God completely, you will have no regrets about how you lived and spent your life. Unfortunately, many people get confused, deceived, and distracted, in how they spend their time and life. A double-minded person will be unfaithful and unstable. They have divided loyalty, are disobedient, and can not be trusted. “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” “...God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” James 1:6-8,4:6. God requires loyalty. “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” 1 Corinthians 4:2. “He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.” Luke 16:10. Many people desire God’s Blessings, but they have not proven to be faithful. “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.” James 4:17. Flee from sin, and all forms of pride and rebellion against God. “...The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.” John 13:16. “...Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.” Luke 10:27. God is Love. People sometimes try to serve God without truly having love for Him or having love for others. “Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 7:20-21.
