4. Accenture took the opportunity to
organize the official ceremony of
signing the agreement with Skolkovo
Foundation, a non-profit organization
established for the development and
commercialization of new technologies
in Russia. The purpose for cooperation
is to create an Accenture predictive
analytics innovation center in
Skolkovo, near Moscow.
Under the agreement, the Accenture
predictive analytics innovation center will
specialize in the extensive use of data,
statistical and quantitative analysis to drive
business decisions. Accenture will join a
range of global companies that are
locating similar facilities at the Skolkovo
Innovation Center, which concentrates
international intellectual capital to support
the development of new technologies and
start-up enterprises.
Work at the center will begin in July 2013
and it is expected to be fully operational
by the end of 2014. In the first two years,
Accenture will focus on the following
activities at Skolkovo:
research on the use of mobile devices for
data collection and diagnostics;
concept development of algorithms used
in predictive analytics for telematics and
telemetric services;
establishment of a data processing
capability for predictive analytics.
Initially, the Accenture innovation center
will concentrate on developing solutions
for the energy and oil and gas sectors,
but is expected to extend its work to a
range of applications and technologies
in other industries. It will be staffed by
local and international specialists.
“Russia is one of Accenture’s priority
markets and our investment will benefit
the local economy as well as help
create new innovations and start-ups
along-side world class technology
collaborators at Skolkovo,” said Vartan
Dilanian, Accenture country managing
director in Russia. “We have joined
forces with Skolkovo Foundation
because of the quality and international
appeal of its technology clusters,
university and other facilities. It is the
ideal location to extend our
development of predictive analytics
solutions that can help our clients turn
business issues into outcomes and
maximize their return on their analytics
investments.”

Tweets posted by SPIEF
participants in real time. In addition
to it Accenture supported the media
corner on the official SPIEF portal
titled “Forum in numbers” showing
the key success metrics and results
of this year in dynamics.
Accenture’s participation is significant
step ahead in our positioning in Russia
and signal to the market that we are
serious about being part of the Russian
business ecosystem.
