Own Your Affordable Dream Home with Government Housing Grants For Low Income...Americas Got Grants
Government housing grants for low income groups can come from a number of sources, like some come directly from the federal government while others are administered by the state or local municipalities.
My name is Glenn Stegall and I’m putting myself up for sale. I’m a 23 year old college graduate with an impressive list of accomplishments and an ambitious set of goals. I have defied the stereotypical path for young men like myself, and I’m ready to make my impact in the world. I’m putting myself up for sale because I want to be able to direct my own future.
Unfortunately, the current path for college graduates is shaped by a powerful jet stream. We walk across the stage in May, and within a few months student loans payments are due. It’s extremely hard to go against the flow that pushes us toward a typical 9 to 5 job. Entrepreneurship is stifled due to the fear of failure and our immediate survival needs. The current process limits growth and opportunity. I hope you will help me change that.
Here is what I’ve decided to do. I’m offering 9% of my future income, for up to 15 years, in exchange for a minimum investment of $75,000. This investment will give me the resources I need to expand my current start-up. With your help, I can create a least 10 sustainable jobs within the next 12 months and provide you with a solid return on your investment over time. Please take a look at the full details below. I have laid out my proposal and my future plans. Lastly, if you can’t afford to make an investment, please share this story.
Buying your first home is exciting but all the details and deadlines can be quite overwhelming.

2. Housing Kitsap’s Mutual Self-Help Housing Program Criteria
1. Maximum Income Limits (as of July 2016; Subject to change)
*If your income is slightly higher than the numbers shown above, please contact us for a similar opportunity.
Approximately $30,000 per year is the minimum income limit, but if you are a very-low income family we will look
closely at your household budget to determine your eligibility.
2. Household Contribution to Construction
Each household is expected to contribute a minimum of approximately 30 hours to the construction of their groups’
homes each week. Relatives and friends may volunteer and contribute a portion of the time for you. It takes an
average of 10-12 months to complete a build group of homes, depending on the weather and the group effort.
3. Credit History
Households must have a decent credit history, which means no outstanding collections within the previous six (6)
months or bankruptcies within the previous three (3) years and no outstanding judgements against them. All other
payments must be current, with no more than two late payments in the most recent 12 months from applying for
USDA home loan funds.
4. Source of Income
At least one member of the household should be permanently employed for two (2) years or more in the same line of
work. Other sources of income may be used in calculating the payments, such as child support, DSHS, Social
Security, state benefits, retirement benefits, disability benefits, etc.
5. Assets
If the household has more than $15,000 in cash assets, a down-payment may be required. Household possessions
are not considered cash assets. The household cannot own real property or, in some cases, a mobile home.
The Housing Kitsap Self-Help Housing Program is an agency created to assist families in building their own homes. The
program is unique, as it requires participants to commit time and effort in the construction process. This maximizes the
homebuyer’s investment ensuring an affordable and quality home purchase. No experience is required. Housing Kitsap
is an equal housing opportunity agency.
To learn more, please contact our homeownership department at (360) 535-6139 or
