1. Opening a PDF for editing
In order to open a PDF and be able to edit it, you must open it with Nitro Pro. If you have adobe on your
computer (which we all do) it will automatically open in adobe as this is the default PDF program universally.
You must click on open with Nitro Pro.
2. Rotating Pages
In order to rotate pages within the Nitro Pro program, click on the edit page, and see the icon that says Rotate.
You can choose to rotate the current page, all pages, first or last page or a range of pages.

3. Removing Pages from a document
Click on Edit and see Extract.
Again here you have the choice of extracting the current page, first page, last page or a range of pages.

4. Combining two documents
From the home page, you will see COMBINE to the right.
The easiest way to do so is to open both files prior to clicking on combine.

Then highlight them in the order that you want them to be combined (first document first). I will say that in order to
combine just portions of two documents I have created two new documents (by extracting the pages that don't need to
be combined) and then after those two documents are created, then I combine them.
It will then ask you to rename the new file before it creates it.

5. Converting from PDF to any other type of document is done from the home page.
The best way to do this is to first open the document, click on the program you want to convert to, and then
highlight the open document.

If you click on options before the conversion, you can make some choices. The best option is to always convert
precisely as laid out. Just a reminder, not all conversions come out clean. Especially if there are logo's or
signatures within the documents, as the PDF program cannot read these as words.
Conversion to Excel is like word; however, you need to make sure that most of the document is in table formats
in order to transfer from PDF to Excel.

I have never converted to a PowerPoint, but this is also an option. So if you have a flyer that you have had
made up and want to convert it to a PowerPoint for a meeting, this is possible.
If you are looking at posting a file as a picture on a website or within another document, then changing from PDF
to an Image is the best way to do so.

6. Printing to PDF
If you have a document you want to PDF (which should be done for any document you send out as then it can't
be manipulated, then all you have to do is print it into Nitro Pro 9. So you would choose the Nitro Pro instead of
a printer. Easy Peasy!

7. Inserting items into the file (whether is a Note box, a text box, highlighting areas of the PDf)
Click on Review
a. To Highlight, crossout, underline or replace text in a field
Click on Mark up Text and decided what option you would like to use, my example shows the highlighting option

Run your cursor over the area you want to highlight.
Once you stop running your cursor, it will be highlighted.

b. To place a comment within the document
You can do one of two things here, either add a note or a text box, or you can replace the existing
wording.
i. To add a note
Click on Review and then add note
Click on the area that you want to add the note to, these notes do not get printed, but can be added to a
document that you are emailing to someone so that they know what your thoughts were on that item, so if you were
giving someone feedback this would be a great tool.

ii. To replace text
Click on Review
I don't typically use this, as it doesn't actually replace the wording, but puts a note for the replacement. see below.

When I want to replace text I put in a text Box,
From the review page, click on text, and add text box.
You then highlight (using the cursor- see below) the area that you want to replace.

You will want to change the properties of the box, so that the background is white (or whatever color the document is)
so that it bleaches out the old wording.

8. Creating Forms
If you have a form in any other program, you can print it to a PDF file (see above). Once you have the form in a
PDF File, then you can put in filler blocks, so that the only thing that can be edited is the fillers that you have
placed in the file.

Click on Forms

After you click on Check Box, put in your box. If the box is existing in the form, just put the check box (blue below) over
the existing one.
It will now look red until you save the document. Nothing saves until the document is saved
ii. A list box
Put in your list box and then right mouse click to add your list items that will be available to those filling
out the form in a drop down menu.

Again, place a box where you want the filler to go.
Then format the properties, by right mouse clicking.

Then change the font and size by changing the appearance.
