Nikola Tesla was a Serbian-American inventor, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, and futurist who is best known for his contributions to the design of the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system. Some of his most important inventions and discoveries included developing the principles of the rotating magnetic field that helped create the first AC induction motor, inventing the Tesla coil which is used in radio technology, and helping pioneer the development of wireless radio communication through his work on radio remote control devices and wireless power transmission.
