F. WORK EXPERIENCE
currently am working with National Agricultural research organisation as a volunteer in the
procurement and disposal unit.
My tasks include:
Abiding by public procurement and disposal of public assets act 2011 (PPDA Act
2011) and World Bank Guidelines 2015 when conducting any procurement that’s
national or foreign funded especially through the world bank.
Preparation of bidding documents.
Issuing or sale of bid documents.
Receipt and opening of bids.
Preparing a procurement monthly reports
Handling administrative review with guidance from my supervisor
Review of procurement plans for any updates with support from my supervisor.
Reporting on overdue supplier payments and evaluation reports with guidance from
my site supervisor.
Preparing Item requests from users using a loose minute and form 5 or form 18
Identifying suppliers from an approved suppliers shortlist
Verifying all payments on contracts together with my site supervisor.
Receiving delivery notes and tax invoices from the suppliers
Carried out quarterly supplier evaluation exercise and provide reports guidance from
my supervisor.
Posting of all procurements onto the government portal which is the public
procurement and disposal of public assets authority portal
From June to July 2015 I did my internship from the ministry of enegry and mineral
development under the procurement department of energy efficiency.
