       - Lesson Development
o Lead the class in a formulation of a list of significant locations from “Night”
                    (5-10 minutes)
o Divide the class into groups and assign each group a location to research.
Have students research relevant historical facts along with GPS coordinates to
be used in constructing a class map of the book (35 minutes)
o Have students make brief presentations to the class about their locations and
what they found from their research (25 minutes)
o After the group presentations, I will lead the class in formulating a class
Google Maps of the various locations which will include each group’s
presentation for each location (10 minutes)
       - Closure – If we have finished the Google Map, I will run through it with the class so
they can see what they have helped create. If the map is not finished, I will allow 10
minutes at the end of class to discuss the importance of remembering the Holocaust
Homework
       - Students will be asked to read/prepare for the next lesson
Assessment
       - Formative – students will be asked to participate during the discussion; I will also be
monitoring the groups to make sure everyone is participating in the reserach
       - Summative – group presentations will serve as the primary summative assessment as
well as the final class Google Map
