3D Printed Patterned Landscapes from the University of NicosiaZMorph
Students at the University of Nicosia designed 3D printed patterned landscapes by creating geometric tile patterns in a CAD program and 3D printing them. They designed 18 tiles with shapes like waves, surfaces, and organic forms. Each tile took around nine hours to 3D print out of white ABS plastic without needing supports. The resulting 3D printed tiles demonstrated the students' creativity and showed how tradition can be combined with modern technology.

Through the analysis of five photographs of war and suffering I have closely examined each photographer's individual purposes for their photograph and the ultimate public purpose these images served. I also wanted to call attention to the power an image can have in molding people’s opinions and, consequently, shaping reactions to atrocities—whether in a positive way, such as increasing anti-war sentiment, or negatively, by fueling prejudice and hatred. .

With so much happening in the Middle East, it is easy to get confused by the details. With this in mind, this presentation will provide you with the "Cliff" notes version of everything that is taking place. The island of Cypruys doesn't make the headline news like some of the other Middle Eastern countries, but that doesn't mean that it's less important. Take a look at the history of Cyprus along with current events, and you will see a pattern unfolding in this war-torn area.

The Nazi-Soviet Pact allowed Hitler and Stalin to invade and divide Poland between German and Soviet forces in 1939. Both leaders were wary of a potential two-front war and saw an opportunity to conquer territory. Hitler wanted to avoid a Russian attack from the east during an invasion of Poland, while Stalin sought time to rearm in case of a future German attack and gain eastern Polish lands as a buffer zone. The invasion succeeded in dividing Poland, but Britain and France declared war on Germany as they had pledged to defend Poland.

The document analyzes claims by Turkey and the Turkish Cypriot leadership regarding the alleged isolation of Turkish Cypriots and its impact on economic development in northern Cyprus. It finds that the real reasons for underdevelopment are the illegal Turkish occupation, inefficient economic policies, and dependence on Turkey. While northern Cyprus has trade links, recognizing its ports would provide only marginal benefits but significant costs and undermine Cypriot reunification efforts. Lifting restrictions on movement has significantly benefited the Turkish Cypriot economy.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
