Clara : In the past there wasn't telephones so they used smoke signals like the picture we have here. Nic : The example we have here is the Native American Indians. Different tribes had different meanings Clara: Others used smoke signals too. Like in Ancient China, on the great wall, the soldiers signaled from tower to tower signaling danger.
Nic : This slide here shows similarities and differences between smoke signals and telephones. Clara : On the left side is the similarities and the right side is differences. Nic: Smoke Signals and telephones are both a system and technology. Clara: Smoke signals is more visual and telephones are audio.
Clara : this slide is the communication timeline. Nic and I chose 4 different systems and technologies. Nic : the 1 st one is the alphabet from a-z Clara : the 2 nd one is the paper both white and coloured. Nic : The 4 th one is the telephone invented by alexander graham bell. Clara : The last one is the radio which I am sure that everyone has in there household
Nic: So do past civilizations shape present systems and technology? Clara: I believe that the present communication systems and technologies were brought down by the past. Nic: The past systems and technologies were generated in to today. Clara : In the future I predict that we may have little micro chips behind our ear that will work like a phone in our ear. Nic: Thank you for watching our slideshow. Clara: I hope you learnt something about communication!
