5. Newton's Laws of Motion help us
to understand how objects
behave when they are standing
still, when they are moving, and
when forces act upon them.
There are three laws of motion.
Here is a description of Newton's
Laws of Motion and a summary
of what they mean.

6. Newton's First Law of Motion is
also known as the Law of
Inertia.
A body continues in it’s of state
of rest or uniform motion unless
an unbalanced external force
acts on it.
An object at rest will stay at
rest, and an object in motion
will stay in motion at constant
velocity, unless acted upon by an
unbalanced force.

13. The rate of change of momentum is directly proportional to the
force exerted and it takes place in the direction of the applied force.

23. “The swimmer pushes water backwards while executing a stroke,
which results in the swimmer going in the forward direction.”

24. To every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
