Hello students and parents! In Ancient
History 101 we plan to learn about three
distinct ancient cultures from around the
world. Those cultures will be Egyptian,
Mesopotamian, and Greek. During the
second week of class, we will have a field
trip to the local Museum of Ancient History.
Attached to page two is a permission slip
that must be filled out and returned. Please
make sure that if you plan to allow your
child to attend this field trip, that the
permission slip is returned by the end of the
first week of classes. Students will need
access to a computer at times during this
class. If there is not a computer readily
available to them at home, they may use one
located in the classroom.
Classroom supplies:
You child will be required to have the
following list of supplies. If there is an issue
with providing the supplies, please send me
an email. We can work together to provide
your child with the supplies needed to
ensure their success in this class. Please
make sure your child applies their name to
their folders. This can be done with tape,
pen, or marker, as long as the result is
legible.
 Two 100 (minimum) page
notebooks, college ruled.
 Two No.2 pencils.
 One blue or black ink pen.
 Four highlighters, in colors pink,
yellow, blue, and green.
 Three folders in colors blue, green,
and yellow.

Your child will be required to spell the
following terms. These terms will be
used throughout the class and should
become a part of your child’s vocabulary
during their time as a student in this
class. On the first Friday of classes, our
first quiz will be the spelling of the
following words. Consider this a cheat
sheet! If you have any questions
whatsoever, feel free to send an email to
the one included at the bottom of these
pages, I look forward to a great school
year!
