                                                                              New Administrator
                                                                   Lutheran Social Services is pleased to announce the appointment
                                                                   of Todd Gaertner as the new administrator of the two residential
                                                                   elder care programs at the Lutheran Home of Southbury.
                                                                   Gaertner’s primary responsibility will be the supervision of the
                                                                   organization’s 120-resident skilled nursing facility, which cares
                                                                   for persons with Alzheimer's and other memory related disor-
                                                                   ders, those requiring traditional long-term nursing care, and
                                                                   those in need of rehab services.
                                                                   “My passion as a nursing home administrator is the develop-
                                                                   ment of person-centered communities in which residents and
                                                                   their family members are actively involved in the quality and
                                                                   social development of the community,” states Gaertner.
                                                                   “The team at the Lutheran Home will continue in its endeavor
                                                                   to provide great quality care and a great quality of life for all
                                                                   members of the community.”
                                                                   In addition to caring for people in the organization’s nursing
