It also notes that several provisions of the new healthcare reform law take effect for health plan years beginning on or after September 23, 2010. These include requiring dependent coverage until age 26, prohibiting denial of coverage for pre-existing conditions for children, and covering certain preventive care services without deductibles or co-insurance.
