- 1. CDL’s New StudentProgram The CDL New Student program will build a solid foundation for the new student to achieve academic success and personal growth, and develop on-line skills to become an effective, independent and engaged on-line learner.

CDL’s New StudentProgram will… - ACCLIMATE student to on-line environment. - EXPOSE student to college tools, resources and services. - OFFER student opportunities to interact with alumna, undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, mentors and professionals with in a friendly environment. - INTRODUCE academic strategies and approaches for success. - CONDUCT relevant and informative webinars, live chats and off-line discussions for a range of topics.

Students will… • Gaina sense of community and develop strong peer relations. • Learn about Empire State College (ESC) and expectations. • Develop skills to support their effort. • Become familiar with ESC’s services, offices and resources. • Connect with faculty and professional staff. • Prepare for the future and establish goals for personal and professional development.
