II.PROJECT OVERVIEW
1. Description of Our Team
Group:
We are Newstars group. There are 6 active and lovely girls. However, each member has
different characteristics:
Nguyễn Thị Liễu (Group leader)
This is not only a tender but also stylish girl. She is always enthusiastic in working. She
comes from Vinh Phuc province which is famous for Tam Dao Resort.
Phan Thị Phương (Typer)
She owns black and sparkling eyes. Phuong who gives many creative ideas, especially in
designing brochure. IT is also her good point. Nam Dinh is her hometown.
Bùi Thị Hương (Accountant)
Huong who comes from Hoa Binh, is a beautiful girl. She is good at IT. She supports
strongly in making video.
Trần Thị Ngọc (Secretary)
She is hard working. She takes note and does tasks quickly. She was born in Ninh Binh
where has Bai Dinh Pagoda
Ngô Thị Mai (Mediator)
She is gentle and careful person. Mai and Phuong are countrywoman.
Nguyễn Thị Thủy (Mediator)
She is ingenious. She knows how to deal with arguments in working group.
We joined together as a team to do this project because of some following reasons:
We are classmates. Some people have been close-friend of each other since they were freshman
such as Mai and Phuong. We can support for each other because nobody is perfect. We created a

2. group on facebook to share the information related to the topic of project or tourism. Sometime,
we chat with each other through status or inbox. We often spend a day on discussing at weekend.
Coach/advisors:
The person who gives us the most useful suggestions is our teacher – Mr. Phung Huy. He taught
us how to make an academic and interesting brochure. This helps us to have more ideas to create
our best products.
Another who we would like to mention is Mr. Trọng Bằng – student in Hanoi university of
Culture. He is Phuong’s brother. He welcomed and guided us helpfully in Hanoi. He provided
documents about Quan Thanh Temple and camera also.
We want to thank Mrs. Phượng – an accountant in Hanoi. She is Mai’s sister. She prepared a good
lunch.
We really want to say many thanks to a student in Thai Nguyen University of Information
Technology – Mr. Trung. He lent us smart phone as a camera.
We have been very thankful to have such a number of people offering us support through the
entire process of this project. We hope we don’t forget anybody who involved for all their help
and support. They play an important role in our project.
2. Summary of Our Project
The purpose of our project is to introduce everyone in Vietnam as well as foreign visitors
over the world to a famous spiritual tourism destination in Hanoi capital - a city of peace.
Viet Nam is not only famous for natural tourism but also spiritual one. It is a unique beauty
of Vietnam, especially in spring. A spiritual trip would help people have pure heart. From
the beginning, we realized that this project is very important to us. To do these things, we
had planed carefully for each week. My leader divided works and required us to make an
outline and then reported draft to her. Detail information would be accepted and approved
by all the members in our group. We anticipated completing our project in the 13th
week.
Through this project, we know how to work in group and improve writing and speaking
skills effectively. Moreover, we can develop creative ability in designing brochure and
making a video. Arranging reasonably timetable and dividing the duty is one of the
important things that we have learnt from this project.
This is a good occasion for everyone in our team to understand each other deeply. Although
there were some arguments among members, we tried to keep calm down and overcame
every difficulty and obstacles occurred during process of this project. Besides, the project
promoted our communication aptitude. Thanks to the efforts of all the members, we created
a successful project.
3. Our Computer and Internet Access
There are 6 computers in our group.
Connection speed used in the classroom is average/not good.
4. Problems We Had To Overcome
Although we get much useful knowledge, we had to face with a lot of difficulties in this
project. Firstly, this is the first time we have worked with each other. There are differences

3. in characteristics among team members. Thus it was not easy to work together. Sometimes,
we didn’t understand the ideas or the feelings of each person. So there were arguments in
our group.
Secondly, the destination is far from our rent houses. It was difficult for us to go there and
find out it. In addition, we have never visited the temple before so it is still strange for us.
Thirdly, we are students living far from our houses. Finance is also a big problem. To
complete this project, we spent money for traveling, eating, printing and so on. Next, we
went to the Quan Thanh by car, some of us got car sick. We were very tired. Moreover, we
are not really clear about the way to the temple. So we walked about 4 kilometers along
West Lake’s sides.
Another difficulty is that we went there on March 15th
. There were many people here. They
prayed for luck. Therefore it was noisy and difficult for us to make video. Guiding skill was
a problem with us also. It seemed to be not natural as a tour guide.
Then, we used some softwares such as audacity, proshow…There were troubles in using
and computer as well.
Finally, we coped with difficulty in designing brochure, writing and printing it. Because
our writing and speaking are not really good. We can’t find brochure - print shop easily.
Those are problems that we worked on this project. However, we always tried our best to
overcome and did it by such our efforts.
5. Our Project Sound Bite
Throughout the people’s life we have had experience of ups and downs. Coming to
spiritual realms, we will be liberated our soul and find out the peace. For this project we
tried our best. One of the expertise things we got from this project was enthusiasm.
Although the difficulties were always forward to us, we didn’t give up. All the members
were willing to participate actively. It is strongly hoped that our project will achieve
success.

Although everything on the internet is not always accuracy, we choose Google as a main source to
do this project. There are some reasons:
 Google is unlimited source to find anything we need. “Quan Thanh temple” is keyword
used to search and get knowledge about it.

4. Besides, documents provided by Mr. Bang – student in Hanoi University of Culture are
extremely useful. It gives detail information about Quan Thanh temple
2. What information tools & technologies
As a project about spiritual tourism or any project, computer and software play an important
role in the entire process. We used our own personal computers (1 HP, 2 Asus, 2 Dell).
Camera (Cannon) used by Phuong and Mai. Smartphone (by Huong, Lieu, Thuy, Ngoc) used
for taking photos and videos. Some softwares like Audacity, Movimaker and Proshow
Producer were used for video editing and Photoshop CS5 for images. Besides, we used
Powerpoint, Crom+, Google Chrome and websites to search information, design
brochure…We considered variety of brochures on Google Images to decide the shape, size and
the model of our brochure.
3. Discoveries, Lessons and Surprises
First thing is the knowledge about our destination – Quan Thanh temple. It support more
power love to history, to the beauty of Vietnam.
After finishing this project, we had some very interesting discoveries. According to the real
tour, we realized that there is a big difference between thinking, planning and making it real.
Moreover, we also discovered the beauty of Hanoi. It is not noisy and crowed as we imagined
before. Hanoi has a poetic beauty. People are very elegant.
We learnt that sharing (both knowledge and feeling) is the best way to improve ourselves. We
know
We were surprised that “colorful thing” is not always attractive overtime.
4. For some moments
Despite being under pressure, we had memorable moments in group working. Mai and Ngoc
often had strong arguments. But they are also people giving us laugh aloud. We prepared
meals together with happiness. Sometimes, we felt as being at home with sisters and younger
sisters. We are all girls so we could share feeling in some aspects of life, especially love. Even
we were overnight together to finish homework, do teacher’s tasks and submit them on time.
We also took “crazy” photos. When we walked along West Lake, we became poets suddenly.
We want to share it in Vietnamese as our real feeling.

Một chiều xuân Hà Nội, 15/3/2014
On the way to Quan Thanh temple, we met a man who comes from Sai Gon. The road seemed
to be shorter when we talked to each other. He owns a sweet voice. It was so attractive. Before
saying goodbye, we took some photos together.
That are all which we want to share through doing this project. However, it doesn’t mean that
it is the end of our diary. We hope that we will return to Hanoi, walk along the West Lake and
come to Quan Thanh temple soon. We will continue the diary with our true friendship.
