Paleontologists from the Museum of Nature & Science announced the discovery of a new ceratopsid dinosaur species named Pachyrhinosaurus perotorum in Alaska, honoring the Perot family's contributions to the museum. This discovery, made during a 2006 excavation, will be presented at the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology's annual meeting and is documented in a paper co-authored by Dr. Anthony R. Fiorillo and Dr. Ronald S. Tykoski. A life-sized reconstruction of the species is set to be displayed at the upcoming Perot Museum of Nature & Science in Dallas slated to open in 2013.
