The event was an employer meet and greet and workplace tour at the Winter Gardens and Museum on Friday 30th September 2022. The museum hosts many events where they show people around and have workshops for all ages run weekly. They have a particular interest in the history of Pyrex which was made in Sunderland and display various historical items like fossils. The Winter Gardens were established in 1846. The visit was important for the author's potential work placement and interesting to learn about running events and see past events. Staff were nice to meet. The museum has been making documentary style films which was inspiring to see different film opportunities. The tour was informative to learn more about running events.

They are a museum that has many events where they show people around and they also have
workshops for people of all ages that are run every week.
One thing they are particularly interested in is the history of Pyrex since it was made in
Sunderland, they also have various historical items that they show to guests such as fossils.
The Winter Gardens were established in 1846.
This is where I want to do my work placement, so it was a very important visit for me and it was
interesting to see how running events work along with seeing some previous events that have
been run by then, it was also very nice meeting some of the staff.
They said they’ve been looking more into filmmaking in the past few years and showed us a sort
of documentary style film they made not too long ago which was very interesting to see and it
reminded me that there are many opportunities to create films like this.
I learnt more about what running events is like and saw some of the things that they do during
events which was very informative.
