File sharing is the practice of distributing or providing access to digital media
such as computer programs, multimedia (audios, images, and videos), documents
or electronic books.
Advantages and disadvantages of file sharing in a network.
Advantages:
More available space for users to access programs.
Easier to backup files.
Simple administration
Helps maintain consistency of shared data files.
5. THE PROCESS OF CONNECTING TWO
COMPUTERS IN A NETWORK
First you should connect the two computers to each other using either an Ethernet
cable, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth. In our case we are going to use Ethernet cable.
Plug the Ethernet cable into the two computers.
Open control panel and choose network and sharing center.
Select change board settings.
Double click on Ethernet.
Double click ipv4 and choose use the following ip-address. Enter 192.168.0.2 as the ip-
address and 255.255.255.0 as the subnet mask.
Repeat the same process on the other computer but set its ip-address to 192.168.0.1.

Now click OK to close and save all the changes.

Repeat from step2 to step6. This time, the IP will be 192.168.0.1 on the
other computer

Step1: Open control panel and Click on network and internet

click add to share with.

22. Step10: Note the file sharing network path click the done button,
and then close the properties panel.
23. AFTER YOU COMPLETE THIS PROCESS USER
SHOULD BE ABLE TO ACCESS THE SHARED
FOLDER.
To view the shared folder on the other pc, go to file
explorer and choose network. Select the pc that has the
shared folders you want to browse. Now expand the
folders to browse the shared folders.
