Neil Armstrong was an American astronaut, test pilot, aerospace engineer, and naval aviator. He was born in 1930 in Wapakoneta, Ohio and died in 2012 in Ohio. Armstrong was the first person to walk on the moon as commander of the Apollo 11 mission in 1969.
