(DPS) is the implementing arm of the city government in the
program of Cleanliness and Sanitation.

• A 72- megawatt Diesel Fuel Power Plant
operated by Panay Power Corporation and
a 164- megawatt coal fired power plant
operated by Panay Energy Development
Corporation (PEDC) -- both situated in
Barangay Ingore in La Paz district -- have
provided power generation for Iloilo City.
• MORE Electric and Power Corporation
(Monte Oro) was granted the congressional
franchise in 2020 to take over PECO's
operations and act as the sole power
distributor in Iloilo City.

• The Land Use Maps didn’t follow the Standard Color Codes in delineating the proposed land
uses as presented in Table 7-1 of CLUP Guidebook
• The CLUP of Iloilo City has more visual elements such as the maps while the CLUP of Bacolod
City is more narrative and descriptive which makes it more detailed than Iloilo’s.
• CLUP of Iloilo City has no social aspect/sector, sports & recreation and protection & safety
aspects unlike Bacolod City’s CLUP.
• In water services, there is scarcity in Iloilo and Bacolod due to the high number of consumers
resulting in interrupted water distribution and supply.
• The power distributor in both cities are monopolized by MORE Power in Iloilo City and
CENECO in Bacolod City
