of earth???
Aren’t we able to make this at all???
Can our future generation get this kind of earth???

5. Sustainability- a major change in thinking
about a progressive future of a nation
where society, environment and economy-
these three spheres are interconnected and
balanced to bring development and an
improved quality of life.
Sustainability Environment
6. “Sustainable Development is an approach to
daily decisions that integrates probable
consequences to the environment, the
economy and human health and well-being.
It is a way of making decisions that balances
the needs of today without sacrificing the
ability of future generations to meet their
own needs.”
-Manitoba Conservation, 1999
8. If we want our society and our
nation to become sustainable,
education must be the input.
The most important way to
make a sustainable society is to
educate the individuals within
the society. Then only can
individuals think ‘rationally’,
act ‘rationally’.
Education will help individuals
to grow awareness regarding
the sustainability.
9. Education for
Sustainable
Development (ESD) a
realistic approach is
needed to be learnt
by connecting social,
environmental and
economical aspects
of our day-to-day
lives.
It is also needed to
develop students'
understanding of
these issues and
make them
motivated to have
positive attitude
towards
sustainability.
10. Teachers can definitely play a major role to
develop knowledge of future generations of
environmental challenges thereby promoting
education for sustainable development and
making students able to formulate creative
ideas and solve problems for the well-being
of our planet.
11. Society needs those teachers who can make
future generations think about the nature of
earth’s resources, to make them critically
understand the damage in our society,
environment, water, and soil. Such teachers
will make students realize that it is our
behavior which needs to change to build a
sustainable world.
12. Sustainability is not that easy to attain.
Society requires teachers having unique and
innovative ideas to promote education for
sustainable development. They must have
understanding of social, environmental, and
economical aspects as well as the
interrelationship and interdependence among
these three spheres have.
13. It is never that much late to create a world
where air is fresh to breathe, water is pure
and safe to drink, health is taken care of and
resources are shared among all the world’s
people — to make a world where each and
every child can get a sustainable future, a
sustainable nation.
14. It can become a reality if nation gets more
transformational teachers- who can see
beyond, think beyond and act beyond. Then
only we can make our nation a sustainable
one.
