As a Medication Technician, I passed all medications to residents when scheduled; including narcotics.
By utilizing QuickMAR, I documented whether residents took their medication, refused, and also the
time that it was given or refused. I assisted the CAN with resident care if need be. Vitals were a part of
my job description and they were taken every morning. I tested blood glucoses on residents with
Diabetes and administered insulin when needed or scheduled. I was in charge of administering all as
needed medication as well and was trusted to use my professional discretion when administering it.
Homestead Home Healthcare – Medication Technician January 2015- September 2015
