“Associate Counselors” listed by the Boston Vocational Bureau
 Concern for social issues affecting women- limited vocational resources
 Sponsor a 3-month training program to reluctant store owners – in preparation spent
6 months behind the counter experiencing sales - outsold everyone
 Students attended class in the morning and worked behind the counter the rest of
the day, received partial pay
 Help the student to approach her career in a new way and provide her with practical
experience along with classroom knowledge

 Objective of program: “The girl behind the counter is fading in the
background. The future sales lady will be all efficiency and business”
 Skills that Prince worked to build into her student interns can be seen in skills
we build in our students of the 21st Century to help them be successful in
today’s workplace

 Virtual collaboration – worked as part of a team, increased productivity,
drive, engagement
