The objective of the research project UV-INV-80709-PRECOMP12, "Parental Models and Educational Demands", 2012-2013, the results of which are presented in this paper, was the study of how the first transition, the transition from the home environment to education system, is brought about.
In particular, the transition from home to school environment is an important event in the life of people that is also linked with other maturational stages and life events such as the development of autonomy and socialization with other significant. In analyzing this transition process to the education system it is relevant to investigate the reasons and approaches that underlie parental choices. Relevant questions in this research are: What parental models are more widespread? What is the relationship between the different models and parental choice of school? What characteristics are valued when choosing a kindergarten?
In the study collaborated seventeen kindergartens at the city of Valencia. These centers have completed a survey that allowed us to make a typology of the participating centers including data on starting the activity, infrastructures, services offered, uniform, fees, or the education and training project among others. In addition, these centers are the gateway to families with children in school. Thus the families participating in the study are parents of children, up to 3 years of age, enrolled in the city of Valencia in one of the collaborating centers. These families were survey about their model of parenting and their educational demands, among other issues. In this paper the main results about the relationship between models of parenting and educational demands taken from the project will be presented.

This study investigated whether fibrin hydrogel supports the early actions of implanted mesenchymal stroma cells (MSCs) to stimulate bone healing in a rat femoral defect model. MSCs from male rats were embedded in a fibrin carrier and implanted into critical bone defects in female rats. The defects treated with MSC-seeded fibrin showed early recruitment of host cells like macrophages and endothelial cells, as well as increased angiogenesis and tissue maturation compared to defects treated with cell-free fibrin alone. The implanted MSCs were detected until 14 days but not at 28 days, suggesting they stimulated healing through early trophic and immunomodulatory actions rather than long-term engraftment.

This document discusses conservation efforts and challenges in protected areas in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. It provides updates on wildlife surveys conducted in the lowland sectors of the Kahuzi-Biega National Park to assess populations of eastern lowland gorillas and remove the park from the list of endangered World Heritage Sites. The surveys found evidence of gorillas and other primates but also human activities like poaching. Conservation activities also resumed in the Sarambwe Reserve in DRC after it was abandoned due to violence.
