A public lecture on RENEWABLE ENERGY: HOW READY ARE WE AS A NATION delivered by Engr Kayode Odunlami at National Association of Electrical Engineering Students 2018 Annual Public Lecture Series.
We live in a society where change is continuous and competition is increasing.
The days of full employment are long gone.
Advancement in technology has led to a reduction in the labour force.
A single job advert can result in a company receiving hunreds, if not thousands, of replies.
IT involves many things. Take, for instance, an IT department in a company. There are many people with many jobs and varied responsibilities. These responsibilities range from keeping systems and data secure to keeping networks up and running. There are people who input data, people who manage databases and people who do programming.

Hybrid optimization of pumped hydro system and solar- Engr. Abdul-Azeez.pdffxintegritypublishin
Advancements in technology unveil a myriad of electrical and electronic breakthroughs geared towards efficiently harnessing limited resources to meet human energy demands. The optimization of hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems plays a pivotal role in utilizing natural resources effectively. This initiative not only benefits humanity but also fosters environmental sustainability. The study investigated the design optimization of these hybrid systems, focusing on understanding solar radiation patterns, identifying geographical influences on solar radiation, formulating a mathematical model for system optimization, and determining the optimal configuration of PV panels and pumped hydro storage. Through a comparative analysis approach and eight weeks of data collection, the study addressed key research questions related to solar radiation patterns and optimal system design. The findings highlighted regions with heightened solar radiation levels, showcasing substantial potential for power generation and emphasizing the system's efficiency. Optimizing system design significantly boosted power generation, promoted renewable energy utilization, and enhanced energy storage capacity. The study underscored the benefits of optimizing hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems for sustainable energy usage. Optimizing the design of solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems as examined across diverse climatic conditions in a developing country, not only enhances power generation but also improves the integration of renewable energy sources and boosts energy storage capacities, particularly beneficial for less economically prosperous regions. Additionally, the study provides valuable insights for advancing energy research in economically viable areas. Recommendations included conducting site-specific assessments, utilizing advanced modeling tools, implementing regular maintenance protocols, and enhancing communication among system components.

Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

It is with rare intense pleasure and ecstasy that this speech was penned. To spearhead
the successful affairs of NAEES 2017/2018 Academic Session was my utmost
satisfaction; largely because the journey down the road of this session came with its
alternating ups - which we fully capitalized on, and downs – which posed to be
challenges. However, we ceased to be deterred from achieving our set objectives.
In that wise, all glory, praise and adoration are due to almighty Allah, the Sustainer
of the Universe, who guided me through my tenure as the 11th
NAEEES president. I
want to appreciate the support and kind gesture of my H.O.D (Engr. Dr [Mrs] N.T.
Surajudeen-Bakinde), Patron (Engr. Kamil Olalekan) and all NAEEES staff advisers

Greatest NAEEESites, I want us to realize that if we hate learning, we hate life and
therefore we should always rekindle our quest for knowledge as many challenges
await us outside there! Electrical is the cynosure of Engineering, I want us to adopt
the virtue ethics in all actions we take as “what we do for ourselves dies in us but
what we do for other people lives on”! My advice is that after we might have
graduated we should always remember our source and extend our generosity
whenever we are called upon.

brought the urge to produce an identity Card for the 10 excos and such
money was contributed by individuals for #4,000 naira only.
• Renewal of Association- Sequel to the directives from the office of the
dean of students affairs that all associations on campus are to
renew/register with the students affairs unit to revalidate their
registration for the session and be allowed to organize any program in
the university. Payment of #500 was made into Unilorin energy account
of Unilorin Microfinance bank and other processes to validate the
renewal was done.
• Change of Signatories- Since the tenure of the previous exco is over
and the handling over has taken place, there is need to change the
signatories to the association’s account.
• Repair of Departmental Notice Board- The departmental notice
board has been left idle since the key to open it is nowhere to be found.
Therefore, we had to find a way of breaking the lock and replace it with
a new one and repair some parts of the notice board that is not good and
rebrand it. This cost us a token of #1,350
• Renovation of the secretariat- We found it necessary to perform some
repairs of some of the electrical appliances in the secretariat, re-run and

re-network the Electrical wires, changed the Electric bulbs and
purchased electric sockets for the course. However, we could not
completely renovate the secretariat due to the constraint we had. #4,780
was spent in this course.
• Repair of Electrical Faults at 10G2 Class- The state at which we
found the class made it a call to service for us to inform the ELE’18 to
find a solution to it reason being it’s the level’s assigned class. We were
able to replace 6 fluorescent bulbs(energy saver), repaired the electrical
fault from the control room, purchased more sockets(4pcs of 3by3
sockets and 3pcs of 6by3 sockets), repaired LAN port for easy network
access, purchased a 8-port 10/100mbps LAN Switch and a padlock was
purchased to keep the class safe at night. The Treasurer of the
association coordinated the contribution and members of the class did
the workmanship.
• Purchase of new Trophy and other sporting equipment for the
HOD’s inter-level soccer competition- In preparation for the HOD’s
Inter-Level Soccer Competition, the “Reach for the Zenith” Era
purchased a new trophy, soccer ball and medals to be presented to the
winner of the Inter-level soccer competition.

project that the association must execute. The association produced 600
copies of 60leaves Quota size, with a thickness of 70gram, digital cover
with free gloss lamination for the students of the department. This was
produced for #120,000 @#200per one and #1,000 was spent for
transporting it to the secretariat.
• Production of NAEEES T-Shirt- The association rolled out a t-shirt
design to the public, deliberations were made on it, and the final design
was approved and produced for the members of the association at the
rate of #2,200per one.
• Constitution of League of Past Presidents- Past Presidents are a vital
part of an association, bringing a calming influence to an overly
adventurous leader or support for a struggling leader. The role of the
Past President is to ensure continuity during governance transitions and
organizational change, to help ensure the appropriate succession of
Executives, to support the President in his/her role, and to provide
continuity to the organization by providing historical context for issues.
These were put together and we were able to connect to all the past
presidents of the association on a single WhatsApp group where we
interact and talk about the success of this association.
