The University of Sri Jayewardenepura has over 18,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students across 7 faculties and 57 departments. One department is the Department of Finance, established in 2001 under the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce to produce graduates with expertise in finance. The Students' Association of Finance (SAF) organizes an annual cultural event called NADA to enhance students' skills and personalities through performances and competitions. 3. Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce
Recognizing the need to produce professionals with the required knowledge and the skills for
entrepreneurial world, a separate department for the study in the field of management and
commerce was established under the Faculty of Art and subsequently this department was
elevated to faculty status in 1972.
The Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce is recognized as the “Centre of Excellence
for management education” in Sri Lanka. This proves that throughout the year’s faculty has built
up a great reputation from dedication and commitment. The faculty serves well for the society
by fulfilling the social responsibility of providing high quality and well-disciplined graduates.
Department of Finance
The department of Finance was established under the Faculty restructuring program in 2001,
recognizing the increasing demand for Finance specialists which has been created by the
extraordinary growth in financial markets.
The aim of the Department is to produce graduates with a good knowledge in the areas of
Finance and enhance their personal skills, self-discipline, multicultural, language competencies,
soft skills, moral and ethics.

SAF is the official student body representative of Department of Finance which is an active and
a forward-looking students’ association among the university community. SAF strives to achieve
students’ excellence by enhancing their knowledge, skills, harmony, personality development
and value by providing them a platform to engage in a variety of co-curricular and extra-
curricular activities organized throughout the entire academic year.
NADA
NÃDA is the most awaited and most glamorous aesthetic event in the faculty calendar which
provides students with invaluable opportunities to showcase their latent talents for the
tenth consecutive year, SAF is organizing NÃDA 2019, the annual celebration of music, dancing
and drama.
This time NADA'19 will unveil with the theme of "Life".Our performances will create an indelible
memory from the utmost breath to our last breath.

26. Payment Regulations
The above-mentioned packages are merely a starting point. These offers can be customized
according to your preference of substituting with package options from other packages or your
own ideas!
➢ Total of 50% of the payment should be made before the event
➢ 10% of the payment within a week after signing the MOU.
➢ Other 40% of the payment before the event.
➢ Remaining 50% of the payment should be made within 2 weeks after the event.
