Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.

Myth
1. The Story of Elephant, Lion, Cheetah, and the Shiny (evil themed music here)<br />In that time long ago, before humans had come and ruined things, all animals lived in harmony. The fly was not trapped by the spider, the rat was not eaten by the cat, and the elephant was very small. The elephant was small because there was no need to be big and defend oneself. No animal ever ate another and neither did one hurt another. All things were fed by the great Sun. All was peace and fluffy clouds and those horses that are white and have a horn sticking ostentatiously from their forehead.<br />Peace was good to the animals. They frolicked all day in fields of daises and sunshine, but peace cannot satisfy everyone forever. Sometimes in peace there arises a want for more. One day, while Cheetah walked with his brother Lion, Cheetah saw a shiny thingy on the ground not far away. “Ahhhhhhhhhh Shiny”!!!! cried Cheetah. Cheetah, having nothing in his heart but to have the Shiny, ran as fast as he could. Lion also greatly desired the shiny, and ran after his brother to get the thing first. Cheetah and Lion raced but Cheetah greatly outdistanced his brother and took the shiny when he reached it. Lion begged to see the shiny, but Cheetah, thinking him jealous and wanting to take the thing, would not let him see. Lion grew angry.<br />Lion needed a way to get back at Cheetah. He had been insulted by his brother. So Lion schemed and connived and plotted. Lion now had a plan to get back at his brother Cheetah. Lion would grow big and strong by eating other animals.<br />So first, Lion ate Gazelle. When Sun saw this he was horrified. Sun’s heart was broken like a child when given homework. Sun died from a broken heart at the evil of Lion. In vengeance before he died, Sun gave Lion a terrible haircut and that is why Lion has a mane. Lion though, did not care about his hair. All Lion desired was the shiny. So Lion ate Zebra, and Mouse, and all of the African animals until he was big and strong.<br />Loin then went to Cheetah and said to him “Brother, you will give me the Shiny”. <br />“Shiny,” exclaimed Cheetah, “Why, whatever do you mean?”<br />“Ahmragerlefrad! If you will not give me the Shiny I will take it” Roared Lion.<br />Now you must understand a little about Elephant. Elephant was a small creature no bigger than a well sized dog. Elephant had neither trunk nor tusks, only his big ears that let him hear everything. Elephant was fast friends with Cheetah, and Elephant loved Cheetah very much. When Elephant learned that Cheetah was going to be killed by his brother Lion he ran to do something. Elephant first found two long white sticks bleached by the sun, and held them in his mouth. He also found a reed and stuck it into his nose. He would use these things as weapons.<br />When Earth, the new ruler of things after the death of sun, learned of the courage of Elephant she was overjoyed at the prospect that there was still good in some of the animals. So, as a gift and a favor Earth made Elephant very big and mighty. She made Elephant even bigger than Lion, who was at the time the biggest of all creatures. Earth also fused the Sticks into Elephants mouth as teeth, and fused the reed to Elephants nose to make a trunk. Last Earth gave Elephant gray skin that was hard like stone.<br />When Earth was done Elephant was mighty indeed. Elephant ran to save his friend Cheetah from Lion. When Elephant arrived he trumpeted his trunk and charged Lion. Lion was not afraid, for he believed himself the mightiest of all the animals. Elephant gored Lion and ripped open his stomach releasing all of the other animals from him. Lion yelped like a large mouse and ran off. Elephant was praised by Cheetah and the animals, and seeing Elephant’s worth Earth let him keep his gifts of skin, size, teeth, and trunk. But to make Elephant wiser Earth turned him into a woman, which is why Elephants are ruled by their females.<br />
