El Gobierno de Chile promulgó la Ley para Prevenir, Sancionar y Erradicar la Violencia Contra las Mujeres en Razón de su Género, que fue ingresada durante el segundo gobierno de la presidenta Michelle Bachelet (2017). Esta ley entrega un marco normativo que establece los deberes de los distintos órganos del Estado para enfrentar la violencia contra las mujeres, acorde a los de la “Convención de Belem do Pará“, instrumento internacional que consagró el derecho de las mujeres de vivir una vida libre de violencia. Según destacaron las autoridades, esta normativa cuenta con un mecanismo de supervisión judicial de medidas cautelares para garantizar su cumplimiento y permanencia, mientras que también fortalece el rol de representación jurídica del país. El presente Convenio protege a los trabajadores y a otras personas en el mundo del trabajo, con inclusión de los trabajadores asalariados según se definen en la legislación y la práctica nacionales, así como a las personas que trabajan, cualquiera que sea su situación contractual, las personas en formación, incluidos los pasantes y los aprendices, los trabajadores despedidos, los voluntarios, las personas en busca de empleo y los postulantes a un empleo, y los individuos que ejercen la autoridad, las funciones o las responsabilidades de un empleador.

Orientaciones convivencia escolar:
Con la publicación del ordinario 436 por parte de la Superintendencia de Educación el día viernes 15 de marzo, se inicia la ruta del proceso de fiscalización en casos de convivencia escolar, sean estas por denuncias o parte del programa 2024.
Es importante, a modo de sugerencia:
1.- Tener en cuenta la obligación de capacitar, al menos una vez al año y a todo el personal, en materias de convivencia escolar y, en los mismos términos, sobre TEA. Debe existir evidencia de dicho proceso de capacitación o inducción.
2.- Actualizar y socializar el RICE en virtud de la nueva normativa.
3.- Vincular el RICE y RIOHS en materia de convivencia escolar de manera que se puedan aplicar las medidas contempladas en los distintos protocolos sin que ello implique un menoscabo laboral, por ejemplo, separación de funciones. De hecho, en el punto 10 del ordinario adjunto, se insta a denunciar el hostigamiento o acoso laboral.
4.- Revisar la contratación o nombramiento del encargado de convivencia escolar, cumpliendo con las exigencias que los mismos establecimientos se auto imponen en sus documentos oficiales y lo que la normativa educacional exige.Reglamento de Convivencia: Escuela José Papic Radnic D-68

Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. Orientaciones convivencia escolar:
Con la publicación del ordinario 436 por parte de la Superintendencia de Educación el día viernes 15 de marzo, se inicia la ruta del proceso de fiscalización en casos de convivencia escolar, sean estas por denuncias o parte del programa 2024.
Es importante, a modo de sugerencia:
1.- Tener en cuenta la obligación de capacitar, al menos una vez al año y a todo el personal, en materias de convivencia escolar y, en los mismos términos, sobre TEA. Debe existir evidencia de dicho proceso de capacitación o inducción.
2.- Actualizar y socializar el RICE en virtud de la nueva normativa.
3.- Vincular el RICE y RIOHS en materia de convivencia escolar de manera que se puedan aplicar las medidas contempladas en los distintos protocolos sin que ello implique un menoscabo laboral, por ejemplo, separación de funciones. De hecho, en el punto 10 del ordinario adjunto, se insta a denunciar el hostigamiento o acoso laboral.
4.- Revisar la contratación o nombramiento del encargado de convivencia escolar, cumpliendo con las exigencias que los mismos establecimientos se auto imponen en sus documentos oficiales y lo que la normativa educacional exige.Reglamento de Convivencia: Escuela José Papic Radnic D-68

Mailed ballots in Wisconsin must be received by elections officials by election day, Nov. 3, to be counted, a federal appeals court ruled Thursday in a reversal of a previous decision that would have given extra time for ballots to be counted through Nov. 9 so long as they were postmarked by Nov. 3.
The latest ruling in the case, which may well be challenged at the US Supreme Court, means the deadline for absentee ballots to arrive remains at 8 p.m. on election day as is spelled out under state law. Judge William Conley, a federal judge in Wisconsin’s Western District, initially extended to Nov. 9 the deadline for ballots to arrive at local election clerks’ offices to account for an expected surge in mail-in ballots due to the coronavirus pandemic and anticipated mail service slowdowns caused in part by President Donald Trump and Postmaster Louis DeJoy’s intentional throttling of the US Postal Service ahead of the election.More from Baker Publishing Company (20)

Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing.
