On Mother's Day, the narrator and their grandparents celebrated with flowers for their grandma, though the narrator's mother was away. Later, after the grandparents left for bingo, the narrator heard footsteps on the stairs and discovered their Uncle Dennis had surprised them with a visit, having traveled from Sault Saint Marie to see the family, staying for a whole week to spend time with their grandma and grandparents, who were surprised but happy to see him after spotting his car in the driveway.

1. My Uncle surprised my Grandma
One day, which was Mother’s Day, We were having an awesome day. It was kind of sad since
my mom was in Thunder Bay, but we gave my Grandma flowers! It started to get dark so my
Grandma and Grandpa went to bingo, then about 1 hour later I heard someone coming up the
stairs. I wondered who it could be.
Then the door opened I went around the corner and it was…………. My uncle Dennis!!! I gave
him a big hug I was so excited. My Uncle Dennis lives in Sault Saint Marie so he came all that
way to see my Grandma and Grandpa well basically my whole family except my auntie Caitlyn
and my Mom. My Grandma and Grandpa came home. They spotted his car in the driveway
and came in saying “I wondered if that was your car!” She was really surprised!! He stayed for
a whole week! :D
