Jevgeni describes his summer vacation after the third day back at school in 10th grade. While he had planned to visit Egypt with his mother, they had to cancel due to the birth of his younger brother seven months prior and stayed home to care for him. However, he still had fun spending time with friends and family. Some highlights included going to new movies, spending a week at the beach swimming and playing games, competing in a swimming championship, going to clubs and dancing, and working a construction job with his friend which he enjoyed. Overall, it was a mixed summer with both good and bad experiences.

2. My name is Jevgeni and I will tell you about my summer. Today is the 3rd day of school. It is exciting to be back from a long summer vacation, to a whole new great level of knowledge, the 10th grade. I am happy to see my old friends and make some new ones, too. I hope it is going to be a great year. Next

3. My summer wasn’t that exciting that I thought it would be. My mom and I had some plans going to Egypt, but they failed because 7 months ago a had a little brother born so we had to stay home this year and take care of him. On the other hand I still had fun spending time with my friends and family so I can’t say my summer was too bad. Next

4. As usual I went to see the new movies at the cinema. They had ones I really enjoyed watching. Then while there was at least one week of warm weather my friends and I went to the beach to get a tan and go swimming in the open sea. We had fun playing beach games, such as volleyball and soccer. I think that week was the best of the whole summer. Next

5. In the beginning of July I had “Estonian Swimming Championships” because I am in to professional swimming. I really do not want to talk about it. Let’s just say that I had some better experiences than this one. Also I went to some clubs for teens. I really love dancing. It’s a good way of getting the stress off your body and having some quality time with friends. Next

6. One of my new experiences this summer was working at a construction zone. My friend started to work there in July and in August I joined him. Our working day was from 8 am to 4 pm. It wasn’t really that hard but it was a lot of fun. Also the salary was very high so I loved working there a lot. Next

7. That’s about it. I had some better summer experiences, but I had some bad ones too so I might say this was a good summer. But now it is time to forget about having fun and get going back to work. It is going to be hard but I am willing to do anything to finish this year with excellence. Finish
