However, another girl did not want to do that topic and felt left out when her idea was not considered. She became disengaged from the project, playing on her phone, as she felt alone and misunderstood in the group.

Abstract: When we hear “values,” we interpret it in three different ways: cultural norms, metrics for tradeoffs (if you happen to be a decision analyst), or distinguishing between means and ends (if you’ve read “Value-Focused Thinking”). This talk will share a fourth way of hearing the term “values,” offering an interpretation of values as “meta-strategy” by understanding intrinsic purpose. Exploring intrinsic purpose is unfamiliar territory, and stories will be shared on how such an exercise helped unlock the creative juice of an organization, gave dignity to their work and transformed their frame. Along the way, a $2 million portfolio turned into a $30 million portfolio. That story and other experiments in mapping the values of organizations will be shared. A reformulation of the six elements of decision quality along the head and heart dimensions will also be offered.

- 2. What happened in the video? A group of students meet together in a room where they must collaborate together in a project. In this project, there's a girl who takes the initiative and wants to be a leader. She wants to talk about the French Revolution, and other member of the group agrees with her, nevertheless, an other girl does not feel comfortable because she does not want to make that that project and, she feels alone. She started playing with her mobile and her motivation decreases because she does not feel part of the group. -She is alone in a state of loneliness and she feels misunderstood-
- 3. MY SOLUTION In my personal opinion, I think that a project is not a project of a person but it is a project of everybody. So, everybody can contribute to the project with their ideas because they are very welcome. In this case, I would try that every member of the group feels comfortable taking the decisions they want to do. Furthermore, I would integrate every member of the group to the project itself and, all opinions and ideas are very welcome. I would try to "adjust" the project so that everybody feels satisfied and motivated with it -taking into account their personal opinions and what they really want to do-
- 4. SUMMARY: THE MAIN IDEA: a girl does not feel part of the group because her idea is not taking into account by the other members of the group. THE MAIN CHOICES: that were made in the video were: The French Revolution and other kind of Revolution- I do not remember it at this momentVICTIM: The girl with brown hair RESPONSIBLE FOR THE BREAKDOWN: Blonde girl and the boy.
- 5. ONCE I WATCHED THE VIDEO FOR A SECOND TIME.... - The individual that was most responsible for this attitude was the young girl and the brown girl. From my point of view, I think that it is not correct to leave apart a person in the group because she thinks in a different way related to a project. - My Solution: talking each other and giving their own ideas -taking all ideas into account. Then, mixing all these ideas and make the project so that all members in the group feel motivated about the project itself.
- 6. My experience Many times I have felt like this girl. -It is due to "people who wants to be a leader of a team, however, in a team no one can be a leader with their own decisions but taking into account the decisions of the all members of the group- It is a very serious situation because you do not feel good and, you see the other members of the group that agree with this person .... Decision process helps a lot , especially to have a good dynamic in a team. It is very important to have a good relationship with all members of the team.
- 7. SMITH'S FAMILY DECISION SITUATION HEAD/HEART ISSUE. The head issue is: - She wants Irene to go to an assisting living home but, on the other hand, he feels horrified by the fact that he does not want to leave Irene alone there. - In this case, decision is really important. - I am a person that feels more with her heart than her head. Sometimes, it is really difficult to make decisions that is the reason I am making this course.
- 8. QUESTION 1 How does the decision Trap of Selective Attention play a role in these two cases? The first one --> video. It is a matter of heart -because the girl does not reason with her brain and it is not conscious of what she is doing The second one--> It is a matter of reasoning and heart.
