The student has positive initial thoughts about their A2 course based on skills and experience gained from their AS course. They are familiar with techniques like graphology and lexis from studying English language at A-level and are passionate about a wide range of music genres. Their main concerns are whether their digipak will be of a high standard as they have no design experience, and ensuring their editing matches the music as songs cannot be cut like sound in previous work.

1. My Initial Thoughts
and Feelings – A2

2. My initial thoughts towards the A2 course are fairly positive. This is because:
 My experience from AS gave me more skill in filming, better ability for
planning and an improvement in awareness of the challenges I will face.
 As I study English language at A-level, I will be familiar with techniques
used for the magazine promotion. For example: graphology, lexis etc. etc.
 I am passionate about a very wide range of music, and enjoy watching
music videos. Most genres have music that I like, but I personally favour
the modern indie and rock music videos. Examples of these include "Alt-j"
and "Royal Blood".

3. I do have a few concerns however, which include:
 Whether my digipak will be to a high standard. I have no experience
designing or creating a digipak, but I have many of my own, which I hope
will help me. I will make sure I do research into them, and practice
designing them.
 Editing the shots to match with the music. In my thriller opening sequence,
there was a margin for error with editing, as the sound could be cut and
moved. However, the song can never be cut, and so this is something I will
have to bear in mind when editing.
