MY FRIENDSBY: DYLAN MAULDIN
BERWYN BENNET“I’mma be what I set out to be, without a doubt, undoubtedly.”Berwyn and I have been friends since 4th grade, when our all-star teams played each other in a scrimmage. He and Brandon have been and will remain my best friends from Albemarle because they have been through the ups and downs always providing laughs.
BRANDON SHERRILLI met Brandon the second day I moved to Albemarle. We played football together, eventually getting to know each other better. We’ve been friends for 7 years, and he is more like a brother to me. He raps, and plays the guitar, basketball, and attends church regularly.
JOSEPH STREBLEJoseph Streble has been my friend since freshman year. He and I took Driver’s Ed together and quickly formed a bond. We have similar interests in music, politics, girls, life, and get along extremely well. He has my back, as do I. He plays basketball, soccer, baseball, and track. He wants to become a pilot so that we can become the greatest vigilantes ever!
WESLEY HUBBARDWes and I didn’t really talk much at the beginning of the year, but due to the fact that we both play baseball, we formed a bond our freshman season. We are both very athletic, and good-natured so we get along very well. Through the years, we have become very great friends, and nothing can really tear us apart.
BENJAMIN MELOBenjamin Melo and I crossed paths in 7th grade when he moved from the Dominican Republic. He and his family became an additional family to me, one whom I could always turn to; they also brought me to Christianity, or rather, showed me the way, the truth, and the light.
ASHLEE ORICKAshlee and I became friends in 10th grade, after sharing a few classes together. She plays volleyball and softball, and is “A BEAST.” She’s one of the sweetest girls ever, and dates my best friend, Wes. They’ve been dating for what seems like forever, and I’m waiting to be the best man at their wedding.
COURTNEY LOFLINWe met my sophomore year, but didn’t really become great friends until midway through my junior year. She plays softball, and has become one of my best friends solely due to her compassion, benevolence, and optimism. She is a light unto herself.
SYDNEY SAFRITSydney is a junior; she plays basketball and just transferred from East Rowan. She is very polite, funny, and easy-going. I met her this year when she transferred in.
LOGAN YARBROUGHI met Logan in Driver’s Ed. We were both freshman and became friends. Through the years we have become better friends because Logan is easily one of the coolest guys I know; he plays tennis, wakeboards, plays guitar, and drums.
DWIGHT LOFLINHe will be my step-son when I finally marry his beautiful mother! Dwight and I have known each other since freshman year. He and I had English together and shared a lot of great memories. He drag races four wheelers, plays tennis and the bass guitar.
