Soccer is a sport that originated around 3000 years ago and is now played globally, uniting people of different cultures through competitive games and worldwide events like the World Cup held every 4 years; key aspects of soccer include teams of 11 players trying to score goals by kicking or heading a ball into the opposing goal over 90 minutes, with each team having one goalkeeper.
