Mahmoud Elmorssy is a PhD candidate in transportation engineering at Istanbul Technical University. He received his MSc in transportation engineering from Alexandria University in Egypt in 2012 and his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Alexandria University in 2006. He has worked as a transportation planning engineer, research assistant, teacher assistant, senior engineer, and transportation planner. He has skills in transportation and structural design software as well as teaching professions including transportation planning and traffic engineering. He has participated in several transportation and construction projects in Turkey and Egypt.
The TTI Center for Transportation Safety is home to a Realtime Technologies, Inc. (RTI) driving simulator that provides measurements of drivers’ responses to roadway situations, in-vehicle technologies, and driving-related tasks. RTI’s
SimCreator® and SimVista® software tools provide a library of different roadway cross-sections and interchanges, as well as a variety of roadway objects, buildings, and ambient traffic. In addition, custom roadway tiles can be programmed to match a specific roadway segment. This allows for in-house development of a wide range of rural and urban roadway scenarios, making it possible to inexpensively test multiple variations and placements of roadway devices or in-vehicle
signals and displays. Using the driving simulator, researchers can test a wider variety of roadway geometries and traffic conditions than are typically possible in a test-track study or fiscally practical in a field study.

The Project Model, Engineering challenges and Performance Measurement of HK A...Chun Wing Daniel Tsang
Airport Express Rail link (AEL) and Tung Chung Line (TCL) has serviced Hong Kong for approximately 20 years. In this journal style paper, I will review on the design of the AEL services, implemented solutions to overcome engineering problems and the measurement of AEL performance in the context of hardware and software components.
Study On Monorail Sky Train Passenger Landing FacilitiesIJRES Journal
In order to effectively solve the problem of hanging monorail sky train evacuation of passengers,
three kinds of passengers evacuation equipments are deeply studied. They are independent staircases,
high-altitude operation truck, flexible slip pocket. The structure of these equipments are respectively introduced.
And these economy, timeliness and practical performance are analysed. Then, a comprehensive evaluation
model of hanging monorail sky train evacuation facilities is established based on analytic hierarchy process
(AHP). The composite score for every kind of passengers evacuation equipments is calculated. The results show
that every kind of passenger evacuation facilities in this paper has some defects. It is needed to develop a kind of
economic, efficient and practical hanging monorail sky train passenger evacuation equipment, so as to provide
technical support for the application of this type of vehicle.
10+ years of very professional experience in design of road geometry, road structures (bridges, viaducts, over/underpasses and other structural elements of the road) as well as geotechnical problems.
Responsible for the production of design information, technical reports, drawings, cost estimations through the project life cycle, from feasibility studies to project` completion and close out. Proven experience with international funded projects such as EBRD, EIB, EC, UNDP, WB etc. Familiar with PRAG and FIDIC rules.
