MY CHAT BOOK
Please feel free to look at it with me J
I was born in Benfleet in London in
1945.
My Dad, Thomas, was an engineer in
the British Navy. My Mum, Mair, was
Welsh.
In 1957 we travelled to Australia on
the Castel Felice. We settled in
Melbourne.
In 1964 I trained to be a teacher.
In 1966 I married the boy-next-door,
Robert.
In 1968, our son Mxxx was born. Jane
was born in 1969 and in 1970 Axxx
came along.
I had a short time off work – and then
returned to teaching. I loved it! In
1977 I started teaching at
Presbyterian Ladies’ College (PLC).

I have 3 grandsons. Txx and Jxx are
the oldest.
My youngest grandson is Bxx. He is
only 5.
Here we are at Jane’s wedding.
I loved quilting, sewing and cooking.
In 2011 I retired. I had been teaching for
45 years and for the last several years I
was principal at PLC Junior School.

  • 1. MY CHAT BOOK Please feel free to look at it with me J
  • 2. I was born in Benfleet in London in 1945.
  • 3. My Dad, Thomas, was an engineer in the British Navy. My Mum, Mair, was Welsh.
  • 4. In 1957 we travelled to Australia on the Castel Felice. We settled in Melbourne.
  • 5. In 1964 I trained to be a teacher.
  • 6. In 1966 I married the boy-next-door, Robert.
  • 7. In 1968, our son Mxxx was born. Jane was born in 1969 and in 1970 Axxx came along.
  • 8. I had a short time off work – and then returned to teaching. I loved it! In 1977 I started teaching at Presbyterian Ladies’ College (PLC). Class Photo removed from this version
  • 9. I also enjoyed travelling. Here are some of our travel photos….. At Hong Kong Disneyland with Jane, Adam, Tom and Jack (my grandsons) In Brugge with Rob At Whitehaven Beach in the Whitsundays

  • 12. I have 3 grandsons. Txx and Jxx are the oldest.
  • 13. My youngest grandson is Bxx. He is only 5.
  • 14. Here we are at Jane’s wedding.
  • 15. I loved quilting, sewing and cooking.
  • 16. In 2011 I retired. I had been teaching for 45 years and for the last several years I was principal at PLC Junior School. Staff Photo removed from this version
