- 3. Plot of openingsequence • Detached is a psychological horror/thriller about a young woman called Serena who struggles to decipher the truth around her and what is going on in her mind. When she goes out with her friend Sarah to catch up, she suddenly wakes up in an unfamiliar place and can’t remember what happened but realises she can’t find her friend. Confused by this she searches for Sarah, but she is nowhere to be found. Later Sarah is reported as a missing person. Until days later she receives an anonymous message from someone claiming that they know what she did, leaving her disturbed and questioning herself.
