This document discusses copyright and music piracy. It defines copyright as giving the original creator exclusive rights to copy and distribute their work for a set period. Music piracy is described as illegally downloading and sharing music without paying artists. While it provides more free music, piracy can result in legal consequences like fines or jail time and has negatively impacted the music industry.

2.  It is illegal copying of copyrighted material
 It can include videos, games, and music
 Copyright means that the original author or
creator of any work such as: writing, images,
and music, has the only right to copy which
means to sell or copy that work for a set
period of time unless he or she obviously
hands over that right to someone else.
 Copyright does not have to be knownly
mentioned or registered anywhere. The act
of creation itself is enough to give you the
ownership and be protected by law.

 Downloading music from the Internet for free
and not paying the artist
 It is illegal!!
