This document provides examples for multiplying and dividing decimals by powers of ten. It shows that to multiply a decimal by 10, 100, or 1000, we move the decimal point to the right by the number of places in the power of ten. To divide a decimal by 10, 100, or 1000, we move the decimal point to the left by the number of places in the power of ten.
