communication, social media is becoming more
and more important and can no longer be
ignored as a key component of any integrated
communications initiative.
As an example, the 2010 second-quarter
earnings season saw 150 companies using Twitter
to announce their financial results and tweet
highlights from their earnings calls.*
Today, stakeholders will seek out information
from the sources they trust – so it’s up to
companies to ensure that their stories are being
told across all of these platforms. Some 70 % of
American journalists use Facebook or Twitter for
their research while 42 % of analysts and
institutional investors read blogs to find
information about companies.**

              Eric leads MSL Hong Kong’s corporate and finance practice, charged with providing high-level counsel
              to a diverse range of clients within the company’s corporate portfolio.

              Born in Russia, Eric grew up in Canada and has been based in Hong Kong for more than six years. He
              began his career in online media, driving the marketing and communications for Toronto-based digital
              pioneer MusicMusicMusic Inc. He then turned his focus to television, spearheading publicity for one of
              Canada’s premier cable networks.

               Relocating to Hong Kong in 2005, Eric took up the post of associate vice president of corporate affairs
              & communications at STAR Group Ltd (STAR TV), leading key internal and external communications
              initiatives for the company region wide. After a brief assignment as senior manager, group corporate
              communications with AIA Group, Eric joined boutique communications consultancy EBA
Eric Abelev   Communications, where he served a broad range of B2B and corporate accounts for clients such as
Director      Symantec, ECA International, Regus and Sybase.

              Eric holds a BA in Political Science and Sociology from Carleton University (Ottawa, Canada) and in
              2009, earned an Executive MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business (Hong Kong Campus).

                       Priscilla joined MSL Hong Kong’s corporate and finance practice in 2012 as an account manager. She
                       has more than six years of experience working in public relations in Hong Kong, with an emphasis on
                       financial and professional services sectors.

                       Prior to joining MSL, Priscilla was an associate director of Kreab Gavin Anderson in Hong Kong. During
                       her tenure, she provided communications counsel to Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, Alvarez & Marsal,
                       Withers, Towers Watson, Saban Capital Group, S&P Equity Research, S&P Capital IQ and Kirkland &
                       Ellis.

                       Prior to joining KGA, Priscilla was a consultant in the Hong Kong office of APCO Worldwide. Her clients
                       included BlackRock Asset Management/iShares, Friends Provident International, Lacoste, Business
                       School of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, ETS, ICBC (Asia) and Abbott
                       Laboratories.
Priscilla Wong         Priscilla started her career as an account executive at PR ASIA Consultants. Priscilla and her team
Account Manager        worked closely with clients' senior management in formulating corporate communication plans and
                       assisting with mergers & acquisitions and fundraising activities of Hong Kong-listed companies.

                       Priscilla is pursuing a postgraduate law degree at the City University of Hong Kong. She holds a Master
                       of Arts in International Relations from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom. She also
                       earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Comparative Literature from the University of Hong
                       Kong.

                           Mokka is a Senior Account executive at MSL Hong Kong, where she is responsible for
                           spearheading planning, media relations, copywriting and strategic communications
                           initiatives for MSL Hong Kong’s retainer and project clients.

                           Prior to joining MSL, Mokka was a Senior Account Executive at Pordahavas, where she
                           supported the execution and implementation of financial PR services for a number of HKEx
                           IPO projects, responsible for event management, copywriting, coordination of production
                           work and maintenance of media and investor relations. Beyond her work on IPOs, she served
                           a variety of HK-listed companies, supporting results announcements as well as investor and
                           media relations. Apart from financial services, Mokka also had exposure to marketing
                           projects for IPO clients.

                    Fontaine is currently supporting PR retainers and projects for clients including Friends

                    Her specialties include both Chinese and English editing and copywriting, research and
                    media analysis. She has supported logistics and planning for a number of PR activities and
                    events.

                    Fontaine graduated in 2011 from The City University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor's Degree
                    in Business Administration, majoring in Marketing. During her three years of study, she
                    spearheaded PR for the women’s basketball team and led the PR committee overseeing the
                    department’s awards ceremony. During her academic career, Fontaine participated in two

  • 21. MSL Hong Kong Eric leads MSL Hong Kong’s corporate and finance practice, charged with providing high-level counsel to a diverse range of clients within the company’s corporate portfolio. Born in Russia, Eric grew up in Canada and has been based in Hong Kong for more than six years. He began his career in online media, driving the marketing and communications for Toronto-based digital pioneer MusicMusicMusic Inc. He then turned his focus to television, spearheading publicity for one of Canada’s premier cable networks. Relocating to Hong Kong in 2005, Eric took up the post of associate vice president of corporate affairs & communications at STAR Group Ltd (STAR TV), leading key internal and external communications initiatives for the company region wide. After a brief assignment as senior manager, group corporate communications with AIA Group, Eric joined boutique communications consultancy EBA Eric Abelev Communications, where he served a broad range of B2B and corporate accounts for clients such as Director Symantec, ECA International, Regus and Sybase. Eric holds a BA in Political Science and Sociology from Carleton University (Ottawa, Canada) and in 2009, earned an Executive MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business (Hong Kong Campus). She has more than six years of experience working in public relations in Hong Kong, with an emphasis on financial and professional services sectors. Prior to joining MSL, Priscilla was an associate director of Kreab Gavin Anderson in Hong Kong. During her tenure, she provided communications counsel to Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, Alvarez & Marsal, Withers, Towers Watson, Saban Capital Group, S&P Equity Research, S&P Capital IQ and Kirkland & Ellis. Prior to joining KGA, Priscilla was a consultant in the Hong Kong office of APCO Worldwide. MSL Hong Kong Mokka is a Senior Account executive at MSL Hong Kong, where she is responsible for spearheading planning, media relations, copywriting and strategic communications initiatives for MSL Hong Kong’s retainer and project clients. Prior to joining MSL, Mokka was a Senior Account Executive at Pordahavas, where she supported the execution and implementation of financial PR services for a number of HKEx IPO projects, responsible for event management, copywriting, coordination of production work and maintenance of media and investor relations. Beyond her work on IPOs, she served a variety of HK-listed companies, supporting results announcements as well as investor and media relations. Apart from financial services, Mokka also had exposure to marketing projects for IPO clients. Her specialties include both Chinese and English editing and copywriting, research and media analysis. She has supported logistics and planning for a number of PR activities and events. Fontaine graduated in 2011 from The City University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Marketing. During her three years of study, she spearheaded PR for the women’s basketball team and led the PR committee overseeing the department’s awards ceremony.
