What It Eats! It eats fish 100 pounds like the Sea Lion. It has 4 rows of very sharp teeth. White sharks don't chew their food, they tear it. They can swallow a human baby in one gulp!
How It Has Babies! White Shark babies are called pups. Some Sharks lay egg cases. Others give birth to live young. The mother shark can have up to a dozen babies at a time. As soon as their born they’re on their own.
Where It Lives! Though not abundant anywhere, it is distributed in Tropical and warm temperature oceans and is found in both shore and deep water. It is most common on the Atlantic cost of the United States.
How It Breathes! White Sharks breathe out of large gills. They don't have flaps over their gills. White Sharks don't have scales like other fish. They take oxygen out of water like most other sea critters.
Interesting Facts! White Sharks are ferocious, large, and fast swimmers. White Shark scientific name is Carcharhoton Carcharias. Also known as the maneater. It can weigh up to 7,000 pounds.
