This document is a collection of facts about butterflies contributed by students in Mrs. Simpson's class. Some of the facts included are that painted ladies are a beautiful type of butterfly, caterpillars turn into chrysalises before becoming butterflies, monarch butterflies live in Oregon, and the tiger swallowtail is Oregon's state insect. The students learned about butterflies from raising them in bug houses and from materials from National Geographic.
