LANKAI FRANCE TO A BELOVED BROTHER.
Then I heard a voice from heaven say, write this, Blessed are the dead who died in the lord from
now on,“Yes” says the spirit, “they will rest from their labour, For their deeds will follow them”.
(Revelation 14:13)
Don't let it shock you. For Humphrey is not dead, he is just sleeping, yeah! Bible says, on that day
the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of the
archangel and with the trumpet call of God and they that are dead in Christ will rise first. I
stronglybelievewhenthetrumpetcallhappens,Iwillmeetmybrotheragain.
Those of us who are still alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the
air, and so we will be with the Lord forever. We thank God for this is our hope! Our future!! Humphrey is

can we find you? Why did you not
tell us anything even in the last moments when
we were taking you to the hospital thinking we

In the early months of the year 2023 you were
very strong, although we knew your health was
diminishing but it did not occur to us that you

Humphrey your silence is too difficult to bear.
We knew a day like this would come but we did
not know it would be so early.You were a model

in us was to be strong with the fear of God. None

Humphrey as I affectionately called him
was my friend, a husband, a brother and
a father to our children. For years of my
life I learned so much from you and loved you for
who you were. You were selfless and ready to
help anyone in anyway. You were my special
person, your love for me and the family cannot be
swept under the carpet. You will visit my family

I thank God for your life; I know that the good
Lord has called you in his own time and he is the
best to explain. However I still feel pain leaving
me alone, looking at the over 60 years that we had
lived together. Humphrey you loved the Lord and
the ministry. Especially, the Men's Fellowship of
the Bethlehem Methodist Church. In fact, you
would not want to miss any Men's fellowship
meeting on Fridays and church service on
Sunday. I strongly believe out of your service to

BY GRANDCHILDREN
The days of our years are threescore years and ten, and if by reason of strength they be fourscore
years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off and we fly away.
(Psalm 90:10 KJV)
The sudden death of our dear grandfather has brought us to the understanding of what Paul says in
Philippians1:21,thatformetoliveis Christandtodieis gain.Grandpawemiss youso much.
You are the first personality that comes to mind when we read the description of love as captured
succinctly in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NKJV of the Holy Book. “love suffers long and is kind; love does not
envy, love does not behave rudely, does not seek its own; is not provoked; thinks no evil; does not rejoice
in iniquity but rejoice in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all
things”.

Grandpa we remember when there was no power, on every Sunday you will stand on your feet for as long
hours to iron our uniforms and your work clothes for the week with a box iron and you do it so much
perfectly.You loved us unconditionally and even went to the bank to withdraw money to pay our school
fees when our parents did not have.Who else would do this for us if he does not have a big heart and love.
We are so proud to be called your grandchildren because you was a disciplinarian, our treasure, our

So strong and certain was your hand in showing us the way as we grew up; We thought that every
grandfather was like you. But we discovered in conclusion that there were grandfathers and there were

TO THE LATE BROTHER HENRY LANTEI FRANCE
BY THE MEN'S FELLOWSHIP OF THE BETHLEHEM SOCIETY – RUSSIA.
Blest are the humble souls that see their emptiness and poverty; Treasures of Grace to them are
given. And crowns of joy laid up in heaven MHB 697:1.
The Late Bro Henry Lantei France whose mortal body lay motionless before us joined the Men's
Fellowship in its formative years. Being a man in the church, he sought for the Lords business by
associating himself with the men's fellowship in order to serve his maker better. He was of the view that
the only way one can be seen active in the church was to join one of the organizations. Bro Henry lived by
the view as it was manifested in his participation in all activities of the fellowship to the admiration of all
members.
Most aged members can attest to this fact that even as he grew older and weaker, he can be seen coming
to meetings until his health by nature could not permit him anymore. Bro Henry had the fellowship in his
heart to the point that when he relocated to Gbawe, this old man managed to come to meetings regularly
and also on time before even those who lived closed by. His activeness was really a testimony to us. He
tried to pay his dues and other financial commitments promptly and attended most joint meetings held in
circuitaswellasjourneysmadeoutsideAccratovariousfunctionthatconcernedothermembers.
He was indeed very committed who served his maker in humility. Bro Henry Lantei France was very
humble, respectful and God fearing. He will be remembered for his gentle dancing moves and calm
jokes. Bro henry never got on the nerves of others but warmly associate with every one peacefully, he
livedbyourmotto;forChrist,
We live. Life as it said, is like a current of wind; it blows pass and soon it is gone and its path can never be
retraced. Bro Henry upon persuasive advice from the Fellowship finally stopped coming to meetings and
by our tradition, we continued to visit him periodically and share memories of nostalgic experiences
withhim.
Bro Henry Lantei France, your Bethlehem men's fellowship and the entire “ABOLO WE” men bid you
farewelltoyourmakertillonedaywemeetagainattheshores beyondinJesus name.

Hymn 80
Thee will I praise with all my heart,
And tell to all how good Thou art,
How marvellous Thy works of grace;
Thy name I will in songs record,
And joy and glory in my Lord,
Extolled above all thanks and praise.
The Lord will save His people here;
In times of need their help is near
To all by sin and hell oppressed;
And they that know Thy name will trust
In Thee, who, to Thy promise just,
Hast never left a soul distressed.
The Lord is by His judgements known;
He helps his poor afflicted one,
His sorrows all He bears in mind;
The mourner shall not always weep,
Who sows in tears in joy shall reap,
With grief who seeks with joy shall find.
A helpless soul that looks to Thee
Is sure at last Thy face to see,
And all Thy goodness to partake;
The sinner who for Thee doth grieve,
And longs, and labours to believe,
Thou never, never wilt forsake.
MHB 478
Jesu, my Savior, Brother, Friend,
On Whom I cast my every care,
On Whom for all things I depend,
Inspire, and then accept, my prayer.
If I have tasted of Thy grace,
The grace that sure salvation brings,
If with me now Thy Spirit stays,
And hovering hides me in His wings.
Forever In Our Hearts - Humphrey Lantei France (a.k.a. Humphrey Bogart)
Still let Him with my weakness stay,
Nor for a moment's space depart,
Evil and danger turn away,
And keep till He renews my heart.
When to the right or left I stray,
His voice behind me may I hear,
“Return, and walk in Christ Thy way,
Fly back to Christ, for sin is near.”
His sacred unction from above
Be still my Comforter and Guide;
Till all the hardness He remove,
And in my loving heart reside.
Jesus, I fain would walk in Thee,
From nature's every path retreat;
Thou art my Way, my Leader be,
And set upon the rock my feet.
MHB110
Jesus, lover of my soul,
Let me to Thy bosom fly,
While the waters near me roll,
While the tempest still is high:
Hide me, O my Saviour, hide,
Till the storm of life is past;
Safe into the haven guide;
O receive my soul at last!
Other refuge have I none,
Hangs my helpless soul on Thee;
Leave, Oh! Leave me not alone,
Still support and comfort me:
All my trust of Thee is stayed;
All my help from Thee I bring;
Cover my defenceless head
With the shadow of Thy wing.
Wilt Thou not regard my call,
Wilt Thou not accept my prayer?
Lo, I sink, I faint, I fall;
Lo, on Thee I cast my care;
Reach me out Thy gracious hand!
While I of Thy strength receive,
Hoping against hope, I stand,
Dying , and behold, I live!
Thou, O Christ, art all I want;
More than all in Thee I find;
Raise the fallen, cheer the faint,
Heal the sick, and lead the blind.
Just and holy is Thy name,
I am all unrighteousness;
False, and full of sin I am,
Thou art full of truth and grace.
MHB 608
Captain of Israel’s host, and Guide
Of all who seek the land above,
Beneath Thy shadow we abide,
The cloud of Thy protecting love;
Our strength, Thy grace;
our rule, Thy Word;
Our end, the glory of the Lord.
By Thine unerring Spirit led,
We shall not in the desert stray;
The light of man's direction need
Or miss our providential way;
As far from danger as from fear,
While Love, almighty Love, is near.

MHB 432
1 Hark, my soul, it is the Lord;
'tis thy Saviour, hear his word;
Jesus speaks, and speaks to thee,
'Say, poor sinner, lov'st thou me?
2 'I delivered thee when bound,
and, when wounded, healed thy wound;
sought thee wandering, set thee right,
turned thy darkness into light.
3 'Can a woman's tender care
cease towards the child she bare?
Yes, she may forgetful be,
yet will I remember thee.
4 'Mine is an unchanging love,
higher than the heights above,
deeper than the depths beneath,
free and faithful, strong as death.
5 'Thou shalt see my glory soon,
when the work of grace is done;
partner of my throne shalt be:
say, poor sinner, lov'st thou me?'
6 Lord, it is my chief complaint
that my love is weak and faint;
yet I love thee, and adore;
O for grace to love thee more!
MHB 515
Thy way, not mine, O Lord,
However dark it be;
Lead me by Thine own hand,
Choose out the path for me.
Smooth let it be or rough,
It will be still the best;
Winding or straight, it leads
Right onward to Thy rest.
I dare not choose my lot;
I would not, if I might;
Choose Thou for me, my God,
So I shall walk aright.
Take Thou my cup, and it
With joy or sorrow fill,
As best to Thee may seem;
Choose Thou my good and ill.
Choose Thou for me my friends,
My sickness or my health;
Choose Thou my cares for me
My poverty or wealth.
The kingdom that I seek
Is Thine: so let the way
That leads to it be Thine,
Else I must surely stray.
Not mine, not mine the choice
In things or great or small;
Be Thou my Guide, my Strength
My Wisdom, and my All.
MHB 503
God moves in a mysterious way
His wonders to perform;
He plants His footsteps in the sea
And rides upon the storm.
Deep in unfathomable mines
Of never failing skill
He treasures up His bright designs
And works His sovereign will.
Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take;
The clouds ye so much dread
Are big with mercy and shall break
In blessings on your head.
Judge not the Lord by feeble sense,
But trust Him for His grace;
Behind a frowning providence
He hides a smiling face.
His purposes will ripen fast,
Unfolding every hour;
The bud may have a bitter taste,
But sweet will be the flower.
Blind unbelief is sure to err
And scan His work in vain;
God is His own interpreter,
And He will make it plain.

Pass me not, O gentle Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
Savior, Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
Let me at Thy throne of mercy
Find a sweet relief,
Kneeling there in deep contrition;
Help my unbelief.
Savior, Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
Trusting only in Thy merit,
Would I seek Thy face;
Heal my wounded, broken spirit,
Save me by Thy grace.
Savior, Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
Thou the Spring of all my comfort,
More than life to me,
Whom have I on earth beside Thee?
Whom in heaven but Thee?
MHB 427
1.Through all the changing scenes of
life, In trouble and in joy,
The praises of my God shall still
My heart and tongue employ.
2. Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
With me exalt His name;
When in distress to Him I called,
He to my rescue came.
3. The hosts of God encamp around
The dwellings of the just;
Deliverance He affords to all
Who on His succor trust.
4. Oh, make but trial of His love,
Experience will decide
How blest they are, and only they,
Who in His truth confide.
5. Oh, make but trial of His love,

MHB 831
1 GIVE me the wings of faith to rise
Within the veil, and see
The saints above, how great their joys,
How bright their glories be.
2 Once they were mourners here below,
And poured out cries and tears:
They wrestled hard, as we do now,
With sins, and doubts, and fears.
3 I ask them whence their victory came:
They, with united breath,
Ascribe their conquest to the Lamb,
Their triumph to his death.
4 They marked the footsteps that he trod,
His zeal inspired their breast;
And following their incarnate God,
Possess the promised rest.
5 Our glorious Leader claims our praise
For His own pattern given;
While the long cloud of witnesses
Show the same path to heaven.
MHB 830
Hark! the sound of holy voices,
chanting at the crystal sea,
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Alleluia! Lord, to Thee;
Multitude, which none can number,
like the stars in glory stand
Clothed in white apparel, holding
palms of victory in their hand.
Patriarch, and holy prophet,
who prepared the way of Christ
King, apostle, saint, confessor,
martyr and evangelist;
Saintly maiden, godly matron,
widows who have watched to prayer
Joined in holy concert, singing
to the Lord of all, are there.
They have come from tribulation,
and have washed their robes in blood,
Washed them in the blood of Jesus;
tried they were, and firm they stood;
Mocked, imprisoned, stoned, tormented,
sawn asunder, slain with sword;
They have conquered death and Satan
by the might of Christ the Lord.
20. 19
Forever In Our Hearts - Humphrey Lantei France (a.k.a. Humphrey Bogart)
Marching with Thy cross their banner,
they have triumphed, following
Thee, the Captain of salvation,
Thee, their Savior and their King;
Gladly, Lord, with Thee they suffered;
gladly, Lord, with Thee they died;
And by death to life immortal
they were born and glorified.
Now they reign in heav'nly glory,
now they walk in golden light,
Now they drink, as from a river,
holy bliss and infinite:
Love and peace they taste forever,
and all truth and knowledge see
In the beatific vision
of the blessèd Trinity.
MHB 651
Hark! hark, my soul!
angelic songs are swelling,
O'er earth's green fields
and ocean's wave-beat shore:
How sweet the truth
those blessèd strains are telling
Of that new life
when sin shall be no more.
Angels of Jesus, angels of light,
Singing to welcome
the pilgrims of the night!
Darker than night life's
shadows fall around us,
And like benighted men
we miss our mark:
God hides Himself,
and grace hath scarcely found us,
E'er death finds out
his victims in the dark.
Angels of Jesus, angels of light,
Singing to welcome
the pilgrims of the night!
Far, far away,
like bells at evening pealing,
The voice of Jesus sounds
o'er land and sea;
And laden souls,
by thousands meekly stealing,
Kind Shepherd,
turn their weary steps to Thee.
Angels of Jesus, angels of light,
Singing to welcome
the pilgrims of the night!
Onward we go,
for still we hear them singing,
“Come, weary souls,
for Jesus bids you come”;
And through the dark,
its echoes sweetly ringing,
The music of the Gospel
leads us home.
MHB 428
I'll praise my Maker while I've breath,
And when my voice is lost in death,
Praise shall employ my nobler powers;
My days of praise shall ne'er be past,
While life, and thought, and being last,
Or immortality endures.
Why should I make a man my trust?
Princes must die and turn to dust;
Vain is the help of flesh and blood:
Their breath departs, their pomp, and power,
And thoughts, all vanish in an hour,
Nor can they make their promise good.
Happy the man whose hopes rely
On Israel's God: He made the sky,
And earth, and seas, with all their train:
His truth for ever stands secure;
He saves th'oppressed, He feeds the poor,
And none shall find His promise vain.
The Lord has eyes to give the blind;
The Lord supports the sinking mind;
He sends the labouring conscience peace;
He helps the stranger in distress,
The widow, and the fatherless,
And grants the prisoner sweet release.
He loves His saints, He knows them well,
But turns the wicked down to hell;
Thy God, O Zion! ever reigns:
Let every tongue, let every age,
In this exalted work engage;
Praise Him in everlasting strains.
I'll praise Him while He lends me breath,
And when my voice is lost in death,
Praise shall employ my nobler powers;
My days of praise shall ne'er be past,
While life, and thought, and being last,
Or immortality endures.

Forever In Our Hearts - Humphrey Lantei France (a.k.a. Humphrey Bogart)
MHB976
Now the laborer's task is o'er;
Now the battle day is past;
Now upon the farther shore
Lands the voyager at last.
Father, in Thy gracious keeping
Leave we now Thy servant sleeping.
There the tears of earth are dried;
There its hidden things are clear;
There the work of life is tried
By a juster Judge than here.
Father, in Thy gracious keeping
Leave we now Thy servant sleeping.
There the Shepherd, bringing home
Many a lamb forlorn and strayed,
Shelters each, no more to roam,
Where the wolf can ne'er invade.
Father, in Thy gracious keeping
Leave we now Thy servant sleeping.
There the sinful souls, that turn
To the cross their dying eyes,
All the love of Christ shall learn
At His feet in Paradise.
Father, in Thy gracious keeping
Leave we now Thy servant sleeping.
There no more the powers of hell
Can prevail to mar their peace;
Christ the Lord shall guard them well,
He Who died for their release.
Father, in Thy gracious keeping
Leave we now Thy servant sleeping.
MHB 602
1. Father, I know that all my life is portioned out for me,
And the changes that are sure to come I do not fear to see;
But I ask Thee for a present mind intent on pleasing Thee.
2. I ask Thee for a thoughtful love, through constant watching wise,
To meet the glad with joyful smiles, and to wipe the weeping eyes;
And a heart at leisure from itself, to soothe and sympathize.
3. I would not have the restless will that hurries to and fro,
Seeking for some great thing to do or secret thing to know;
I would be treated as a child, and guided where I go.
4. Wherever in the world I am, in whatso'er estate,
I have a fellowship with hearts to keep and cultivate;
And a work of lowly love to do for the Lord on whom I wait.
5. So I ask Thee for the daily strength, to none that ask denied,
And a mind to blend with outward life while keeping at Thy side;
Content to fill a little space, if Thou be glorified.
6. And if some things I do not ask in my cup of blessing be,
I would have my spirit filled the more with grateful love to Thee,
More careful, not to serve Thee much, but to please Thee perfectly.
7. There are briers besetting every path that call for patient care;
There is a cross in every lot, and an earnest need for prayer;
But a lowly heart that leans on Thee is happy anywhere.
8. In a service which Thy will appoints there are no bonds for me;
For my inmost heart is taught “the truth” that makes Thy children “free”
And a life of self-renouncing love is a life of liberty.
22. May the Good Lord Richly bless you.
Thank You.
