Mozilla Jordan is a community-based organization that works to promote a free, accessible, and open web in Jordan. It was created by Jordanians who support Mozilla's products and mission. The organization's vision is to educate Jordanians about the open web and encourage its adoption through user engagement events and community marketing. Main activities have included Firefox download days, celebrations of Firefox releases in locations like Petra, and monthly developer events to teach skills related to Mozilla technologies. In 2011, activities also included participation in a major technology expo and monthly meetups in Amman.
