• Principal is refer to a person vested with a power to rule
over that so called “Article”. Or
• Principal is refer to the person who get his own work

there is no mistake of Article but still keeps on scolding
and pretending that you and only you are liable for this

Who is ICAI ?
• ICAI is refer to a independent body set up by the act of parliament.
Or
• ICAI is refer to a body who thinks the minimum amount to be paid
to a article clerk is 1500 PM, whereas the minimum wages decided
by the Government of India is around 5000 PM. Or
• ICAI is refer to a body who explicitly vest the whole power with the
principal and still says as “ In case of any conflicts arising between
the principal and article the same should be settled out by the
article and principal themselves. ICAI will not indulge itself in any
such case.

• Article ship is refer to a period of 3 year in which some of the

9. A STRUGGLE TO ARTICLESHIP
• A struggle to articleship is my own story. Like wise all other student
who clear IPCC in first attempt with a good percentage aspires to
go for articleship training in either big four or some renowned firms
locally.
• I cleared my IPCC in first attempt with 65% and then with a cheerful
smile on my face I went out in the market in hunt of a good
articleship firm.
• I tried almost everywhere in jaipur and also in big four, but see all
was in vein.
• Most of the times the firm owner either asked me for some sort
reference in his firm or said he have no vacancy available.
• I tried my best to get into the best firm of jaipur, i distributed near
about 80 copies of my CV in the firms.
• But fortunately I was not selected in any of the firms. Might be I
was too lucky.
• Then after lot of struggle i joined a small firm that too with
reference of someone.

10. • Yeah, I was disappointed, but what would I had done at that time.
• Then I thought lets seek the help of ICAI.
• In the month of December 2013 I wrote a letter to ICAI president
• Unfortunately I don’t have the copies of that letter to show you but
I can make you understand what I wrote into that. I wrote a 3 page
letter saying that what sort of problem a article face when he enter
in market in hunt of CA firm.
• I asked him that I am just like a layman in CA field and I don’t have
any sort of reference thing which every one keeps on asking for
extending articleship opportunity. So I requested him that please
grant me permission to use your name as reference because you are
the only one who know me as well as all other members also knows
you.
• In month of February I got a call from Mr. E.P james, Deputy
secretary, NIRC. He was the one who extended and empathy to me.
Still I am very thankful to him.
• He helped me a lot to gain what I am today.

reservation, quota or anything like that.
• But still we are chartered accountants if ICAI is not there to enforce
all these thing we make it all ourselves.
• All chartered accountant are that good in brotherhood that they
will do everything for their CA brother.

• Let me tell you the situation of Big 4 and other good firms In the
market.
• Every one wants to get into BIG 4, I also tried the same.
• I tried in PWC, I forwarded my CV to HR (Simmi Grover) for the first
time, I didn’t got any response for around 15 days, Again I did the
same and again for next 15 days no answer.
• Next time i forwarded my CV but with an updation, I wrote name of
MR. Rajan Deshpande, Partner, Risk and Advisory services as a
reference.
• Although I didn’t knew him, but by that I got a Call my PWC in a
day.
• Unfortunately that was I lie so I didn’t made it.
• Almost all the article In Big 4 or Good firms have some strong
reference through either partner, director, manager or Client.
• If you think you are not form them you can count yourself apart.

• Article ship transfer, as per the rules of ICAI, in the first year can
be taken without any special approval. HAHAHA LOL.
• Let me tell you the first reaction of our CA when we ask for
transfer.
• In mine case he firstly said no.
• Then I forced him number of times but you know he said no.
• Then what I did was, I send a text to every CA page I was connected
to on FB. That helped me a lot. The page owner were member of
ICAI, So what they did is, they consoled My principal to let me.
LOOK I didn’t even Uttered a single word to my principal and my
work was almost Done.
• Then the next day he called me and asked me to bring your transfer
form I will sign it.
• But unfortunately he marked around 80 days as my leaves and
highly dissatisfactory work as a remark.
• But fortunately I was able to change all those thing in my Form
even after it was submitted in ICAI.

• GMCS 1 is refer to a program conducted by ICAI for the student who
are partially or fully frustrated from their articleship life and to
get them a 15 days free food, a bag, a pen, a notebook.
• GMCS 1 is refer to a program for the students who want to learn
something and have the potential for the same.
• GMCS 1 is refer to a program through which some people thinks that
they will get a girlfriend or boyfriend, some people think that they
gotta create a impression on other by their Firm or like else.

Something Need to be improve
• Although I am not the right person to narrate all these things, But I will
forcefully do this. Reason being I heard about many of the famous persons like
bill gates, Steve jobs were college dropout. And I don’t have that much of Dare to
part myself from CA, So I seek help of ICAI for this.
• All these points I feel like need to be improved :-
First of all my point is GMCS 1 is started in 2013 and GMCS is started In 2003,
Most of the teachers passed their CA final Exam earlier then 2003. The teachers
who never went through GMCS are teaching us the GMCS.LOL
I asked a teacher named Mr. Naresh motwani that how to be a faculty in ICAI
GMCS. He said all you need to do is fill a form for the GMCS and if have some
sort of reference with the chairman or any managing committee you are done.
How to make your session done with less efforts :-
Give a Introduction of yourself for around half an hour.. UMM I am IIIM lucknow,
did some certification form New york and BLAH BLAH….. Dude we are not
Naukari.com or Monster.com why are you uploading your CV into us.Man I
understand you have a lot of knowledge but that is only worth full if you could
impart that useful knowledge to us……
Pick a common and basic example from your life or society.
People will do anything to make you believe that they are right. One teacher
said he always wear his Dad’s wristwatch. He said His dad passed out in 2002. I
looked into his watch and it was NE15855|01 realesed in 2008.

• I think first of all, all teachers must have a inter session among themselves. One
teacher say you should start studying another say “Arre CA is nothing . Ese
chutkiyo me Pass kar loge” Aree Kehna kya chate ho bahiyo.
• There is no correlation between the teacher’s experience and the topic given to
hi,. One said He was earlier Associated with a company as Sales President and the
topic he was taking for Written communication. Man You could have taught
Presentation Skills better or all you want is Money irrespective of your work
experience.
• Some Peoples are DAMN awesome. Topic given to Mr. Swapnil Bhandari was time
management. What he Taught us Creating email folders,ICAI studying Material, CA
reference Sites. Dude I think you first need to understand What Time Management
is??. Although he marked me absent on that day but yeah I still miss his Double
meaning Talks. Like usne dedi or mene uski le li.
• No formal Structure of Language for Communication. Mr. Anurag trivedi used
Words such as “RANDAP”, “FUCK”, moreover he used that abuse too. Mr. Swapnil
Bhandari– what all he did was a double meaning talks. Now I got the answer that
they were not serving Industries as industries demand a highly professional
Culture which was out of the reach of some People.

and postures they were trying to give in relation to their word.
• A must say for Mr. Anurag trivedi----- A healthy friendship with Mr. ManisH Burad
can take you through GMCS.
• I Know for this my registration might get cancel but still,,,,, all the peoples who
neither got jobs or neither have a successful business have a backside job called
GMCS.
• Most of the teachers do not have any specialized knowledge about the topic
concerned rather they have experience of the industry. “JOKE”, “Pedestrian”

batch online.
• The situation could be worst if you have some doubt and you need
to ask that to some ICAI official.
• I went through that worst situation. I had some doubt for GMCS
and I wanted to clarify the same.
• I came to know that the concerned person for my query is MR.
Vishal.
• I tried reaching him numerous of times on Call but he didn’t use to
pick a single call of mine.
• And then finally I decided to escalate the matter to high
authority.
• And you know the results were extremely surprising.

With respect, i would like to bring in your kind notice that as being part of a renowned institute, sometimes i
feel proud but sometimes i feel really disappointed.
I, as being a Final student aspiring to do my GMCS from Jaipur branch of ICAI. I came to know about the
concerned person for GMCS queries in jaipur is MR. Vishal Gupta. I tried reaching him number of times.
Usually he don’t use to pick up his phone, but by god grace, if your luck is at peak, you may get the chance
to speak to him. And if by chance he pick up the phone he will talk like i owe Million or Billion Dollars to him.
If you gotta ask him "Sir Mujhe GMCS ka Batch lena h", he would probably turn your mind and say" Online
dekho online" and would disconnect the phone. I faced numerous of problem numerous of time, but i was
helpless. After waiting for so long time i loosed my temper and decided to do this. I on the behalf of hundreds
of student, humbly request you to please don’t make us feel that we are not a Part of CA family, or we belong
to some other planet. I respect each and every person of this organization.
