Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
2. My Childhood
I was born in Kentucky and moved to Florida when I was 6. I
grew up here and love every minute of it. Life has not always
been easy for me. My parents divorced when I was 7 which
was 6 months after my little sisters where born. They are twins
and where born with a lot of complications. I struggled a lot
when it came to balancing school and taking care of them. My
mother was working to jobs and my father lived an hour away.
I had to make sure my sisters where taken care of and do my
school work at the same time. This is a lot for a 7 year old to
take on. Neither of my parents went to college and barely
graduated high school. So succeeding in school was a must for
me. With my sisters is made it hard. It was easier for me to
miss school then my mom to miss work. Which meant make up
work for me. Once I got into high school, my sisters where in
elementary school and really never wanted to attend school.
They hated the thought of having to go to class. They didn’t
understand why I got to stay home at their age and they always
had to go. This was a wake up call to me. I put forth all of my
efforts to succeed in high school and make sure that sisters new
the importance of going to school. No matter the obstacles that
you see in life there is always something that can push you. For
me that little bit of push I needed was my baby sisters.

4. Adult life
Adult life seems easier when you’re a child of ill
just have a job. But you always have to
remember the importance of how to get that job.
Most of the time that comes from getting a
degree. Whether you go to college or a tech
school always remember that in todays society
they are looking for someone with the skills to
help their company. I didn’t think I needed
these skills midway through high school. I met a
boy and feel head over heals in love. Through
away a lot of this person even put off my
education for him to cheat and divorce me. No
finally, I am head over heals in love with
someone who is pushing me to attend school.
Im currently in school to become a teacher and
if it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here today.
Always go for the positive aspects in live. No
matter if there are obstacles. You can and will
overcome them. You just have to look at the
bigger picture. You are a strong person, we all
are. Sometimes it just takes someone to help or
show us.
