This document is a transcript from a Twitter chat (#mbachat) on the topic of networking for success. The chat was hosted by @TechMBAOnline and guest hosted by @HajjFlemings on July 16, 2010. Participants discussed best practices for networking including building a network before needing it, following up with new contacts, helping others, and identifying people with similar interests through groups on LinkedIn. Questions were asked about when less contact is better in networking and how to identify people with shared interests.
The document discusses the planning process in the UK, including national, regional, and local planning policies and mechanisms. It specifically focuses on the planning process for Redhill Town Centre, outlining the background studies conducted, the Local Development Framework documents, and the timeline and steps for developing an Area Action Plan (AAP) for Redhill Town Centre, including public consultation periods and examination before potential adoption in May 2010.
The students from Singapore went on a cultural immersion trip to Shanghai, China to visit the 2010 World Expo. They found the Expo to be huge with many beautiful pavilions representing different countries. The students enjoyed learning about other cultures and making new friends from China. They also learned important life skills like teamwork, communication, responsibility and independence during their trip.
Ricardo Schmidt gave a presentation on Ansible, an open source tool for configuration management, application deployment, provisioning, and orchestration. He explained that Ansible is fast, clear, complete, and secure. It uses SSH to connect to nodes agentlessly without requiring additional firewall rules or open ports. Key components include the inventory to define hosts and groups, modules to run tasks on nodes, and playbooks to orchestrate tasks across multiple hosts. The presentation demonstrated Ansible's capabilities through examples and a demo of its core features.
