Abstract
• Mosaic is a visual relationship organizer.
• As you maintain contact with a person, the contact will remain crystal clear.
• If you neglect a relationship, well...sad faces are bound to appear! 
• Maintain relationships by text, email, phone, or physical interaction.
• Mosaic will automatically track as much as possible by monitoring your contact list and your activity.
• Use the simple interface to create mosaics for home, work, family, etc.
• The frequency slider bar gives you simple setting changes that customize how often you need to interact to maintain your relationship strength
with a person.
• Set frequency to 60 days for Uncle Bob, and, of course, 1 day for your mom!
• With notifications on, you can see from the home screen that someone is losing touch with you.
• Mosaic creates a beautiful, visual way for you to stay on 
Creating a mosaic (contact group…tile!)
Mosaic menu options
Mosaic Text All/Email All Fancy feature!
Adding contacts in Mosaic
To allow faster search throughout many contacts,
a cool “hold-scroll-bar” feature was implemented
that allows search of contacts by chronological order.
The contact frequency/detail screen
There are “sad face thumbnails” associated
with the contacts. This indicates that you
have to touch base with that contact based
on the frequency set by you that you want
the app to notify you to contact that person.
You can text or call to touch-base with the
contact, or in the event where you would
meet in real life…well, that’s what the
manual “Real Contact” button was added
for!
Push Notifications & Sweet Alerts
To enhance the app even
more visually, Sweet
Alerts animations were
added to “spice it up”!
Fun facts
• You can click on the “i” (info) circle on a push
notification to turn off notifications, though this
may vary by phone.
• The tracking occurs in days; it is done this way
because testing revealed that tracking the phone
hourly will make it very slow as it would require
intensive amount of RAM memory usage. Since
we wanted to make Mosaic as pleasant to the
user as possible, we decided to let it track by days
instead. This way, pressure isn't placed on the
memory and phone operation will remain
smooth.
• The notifications are displayed by mosaic, instead
of each individual contact. In a scenario where a
user may have say 50 contacts whom they have
not contacted within the allocated frequency
setting they chose, there would literally be 50
notifications...and that's not reasonable. Hence
why notifications are displayed by mosaic.
Conclusion
• The overall app required lots of
effort to complete. From knowing
nothing about android as a team,
today, Mosaic is born into an
increasingly social networking
world that sees the potential to
shine onward and rival its fellow
social networking apps one day.
• But for now, lets just ponder upon
how Mosaic creates a beautiful,
visual way for us to stay on...and
connected forever ~
