The moon is smaller than the
Earth. The Earth is four times
bigger than the Moon.
4. What’s on the surface of the
Moon?
There are plains on the moon.
There are craters & mountains on the
moon.
The largest crater is really big.
It would take a car 3
hours to drive across it.
5. Moon Shapes
Moon has different shapes. These are called
phases.
The sun shines light on the moon. This is
what makes the different shapes.
Full moon, half moon, crescent moon.
6. Has Anyone Visited the Moon?
• YES! In 1969 two men went
to the moon: Neil
Armstrong & Buss Aldrin
stood on the moon.
7. Is There Life on the Moon?
There isn’t any air or water on the
moon so there isn’t any life on the
moon.
8. Everyday Life
I see the Moon from my window at
night.
The Moon makes the tides low and
high and when I swim in the ocean
I experience the tides.
